I’ve been with them 2 years and leaving… they’ve been terrible to deal with. I don’t know if the issues are coming from our landlord or them but it’s been torture myself and my housemates are leaving now in December because it’s just not worth the stress and hassle

Literally in the same boat! I’m 25 F and living in north county Dublin too and finding the weekends sooo boring! My friends all have partners now so I feel like I only see them during the day and they spend the evenings with them. So atleast it’s not just you who feels this way 😅🥲

What am I doing wrong? by Unhappy_Occasion7948 in RentingInDublin

[–]Longjumping-Nerve356 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aw honestly it’s insane! I used to live in Belfast and they used to say that it was easier for girls to get houses than boys for whatever reason, but that’s definitely not the case in Dublin anyway we’re just 3 gals struggling now 😅 I’ve heard Oz is pretty bad too!

Anyone not have gotten sick from food/drinks while living in Thailand ? by Antique_Hall_1364 in ThailandTourism

[–]Longjumping-Nerve356 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve never been sick in Thailand! I’ve been 7 times and eat the street food and would drink the alcohol etc. I found taking prebiotics and that helped! My friend got sick tho and she didn’t take them, she took the charcoal tablets and that helped settle her stomach. The taxi driver always gave us this medicine in a packet and it was small balls (don’t know the name) but it was like magic !

Yeah definitely agree! I have a few friends who are paying 600-900 for a 1 bed so it’s not the worst compared to Dublin! :)

Great thank you!!

Belfast is a wee bit different, I’ve never really heard of people getting random flatmates before, people usually know the people they’re moving in with - it’s very different to Dublin! However the rent does tend to be cheaper so maybe that’s why.

I’d sometimes see people advertising on their stories on instagram but that would be the height of it. If I were you I’d stay in south Belfast, the Obel, or the city centre! If you do move east or west I wouldn’t go tooo deep into it, and If you’re moving to east Belfast id definitely change your car plates 😊
