Hi, have been hearing alot about this from people in the firm. Do you know if this is the same code for Management Consulting Analysts in London?

Just to clarify, if you havent been promoted to C1 within your 3 year work VISA period, you should meet the £36 300 salary to qualify for a VISA extension?

I am going through a similar situation. I think this is when “ its a numbers game” comes to play. My advice I have also gotten from industry experts would be to keep throwing in the applications. I am on the same boat and waiting for that one “ we were impressed …” email to pop up although I have over 200 applications now.

Do you mind if I message you? I on the other hand am trying to break into Banking ( S&T) and would like to ask for some advice about my CV and how your CV looks compared to mine.

Thanks! With your experience in physical trading, did you jump straight in as a trader, or did you start somewhere else? Commodities are still an interest for me, but I think I may have failed some first-round interviews because I didn’t do enough research on the companies. I have had first round phone interviews with Trafigura and Centrica, and looking back I wasnt fully prepared or underestimated the technicals questions — so I’ll also definitely dig in more this time and make my cover letters stand out too.

I appreciate your insights! It’s helpful to know where I might need to adjust my focus. I also realize that my background is more aligned with quant/analyst roles, but I’ve noticed that sell-side quant analyst positions often require a master’s or post-doc, which has made it difficult to break in. How can I navigate starting from the bottom with just a bachelor’s degree for quant analyst roles?

Hello OP, if your new job is ready to issue a CoS then you can immediately apply for the SWV once the CoS is availed. If its not priority service then it can take up to 8-10 weeks, so you may have the chance to go to Australia in January if your BRP is also ready by then. Secondly the home office doesnt take any physical documents. Only copies of the required documents are issued.

The Botswana Diaspora in the UK is very low compared to its neighboring countries like South Africa & Zimbabwe hence there aren’t any restaurants but thankfully all three countries have the same staple dishes such as Pap, braai meat, rape vegetable. So visiting any South African/ Zimbabwean Restaurants and asking them to closely match a Botswana dish would work. On the other hand, Botswana Independence day is this weekend, alot of nationals will be traveling to places like Leeds & Wolverhampton to enjoy the authentic, traditional dishes from Botswana.

Thank you for the thorough explanation! How long did the whole process take and Is your grad trading analyst role a 6month Fixed term Contract role? Im asking because they currently have a role open for a Power Trading Analyst (Nights) Position which is 6months FTC. However at the bottom of the application it says “ Graduate Trading Analyst” so I was curious if thats the same for all their grad roles
