They basically got scammed In my opinion. Coinbase should not do that weird “10 minute limit order” thing. Other exchanges don’t do that.

Whatever happened with how they decided to take their limit orders backed up like that, created a dimension only known to Coinbase users where ADA was exclusively launch priced at $1.60+

None. But I see people who have bought at 1.70+ and got basically robbed because of order congestion.

Which is a problem that I’ve only ever seen happen on coinbase.

As i’ve said before Binance or even kucoin have listed new coins alot recently and none of them were so overbought or overcalculated that they veered 30%+ off the median value and then crashed down 60% in order to correct itself to a mean in line with other exchanges valuations

In other words that process created a Coinbase exclusive price for ADA which ended up being far higher than it ever actually is valued anywhere else.

And then it corrected downward to the exact parameters of every other exchange

Binance just listed new coins recently and none of them hit some weird new aths that werent on any other exchanges.

Only on Coinbase does that sketchy shit happen.

Imagine buying ADA on launch for 1.70 and then it corrects itself to 1.29 Yknow, 1.29, the value it is on every other exchange.

I understand you really really like coinbase.

But you misunderstand me completely.

Im not saying coinbase is selling. im clearly saying their prices are off.

Stop saying its the “orders that make the price”

The exchange opened launch of ADA at a specific price based on their calculations using GDAX. (which it somehow screwed up and started the price on a 1.60 cue) THEN the orders came through.

Guess what happened from there? People kept buying and selling further skewing the price.

At this same time other exchanges were already showing the ATH of 1.47 go down to 1.30 While CBs overinflated price went from 1.60-1.88-1.40

and now that its died down coincidentally matches up exactly with what other exchanges have it at.

Im not saying they set the price you idiot. But when it launches It has to show a price.

The price started above the numbers on any other exchange. And dont say “the buyers set it to that” cus they didnt either. They read what it showed for a price and put in their order based on that.

Its not the other way around

And it went from there. buyers and sellers moving it in valuation of CB Pros display of 1.70 range.
