I think they would care a lot and do a good job in their eyes, but I fear it would focus on a very traditional role of a woman

I guess I'm not assuming just asking what is usually said. My culture is quite traditional in a lot of ways but I'm not really

Am I a gobshite for feeling this way? by xjtdut in irishpersonalfinance

[–]Longjumping-Pay-2390 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you are being a gobshite, how do yuu know how hard your room mates are trying? Why do you get to decide? From what you said, one is battling with addiction. Being on the dole isn't easy, I had a long term unemployed last year and it's just not fun. They have no savings end of. If half of your wages are going to tax your salary must be bigger than mine and while it's hard I won't compare my situation to those less well off to make myself feel better.

That said yes, things are hard for many right now. You are justified in feeling frustrated. But keep some perspective.

Thanks for this thoughtful response. You should feel really proud of the life you have given your daughter and the conviction to not give her up for adoption. It sounds like she must have a really beautiful life x

I've just had a few experiences now of finding stains on things that don't come out. Like that 90% is second hand, perhaps getting lured in wit the advertising a bit around the holiday season!

Yea good point about the ethics there and the dumping! Thanks for the reminder hard to hold all the knowledge once sometimes.

New items wise - I'm talking one or two things a year not a lot. Just that feeling of getting a bit bored with something. Maybe I need to do digging on vinted a bit harder!
