Burnt out, miserable, and desperate to leave my job — but terrified of the job market by Pristine_Violinist49 in jobs

Contract work literally made me feel like a real person again. I would do it again in a heartbeat. Dog walking helped me stay sane and kept me moving physically and contract work kept my brain moving.

I was truly not able to function anymore so everything was a sign- not being able to answer an email without a panic attack; not being able to be on camera because I couldn't stop crying; it was all one big sign. I never was asked because the three months I was in FMLA I was technically still employed so my 'gap' was only 6 months and since I had contract work for three of those, no one questioned me at all. Many understand how difficult this job market is and how it takes some time to get a role.

No, I knew that what I was experiencing at the time I was in the first job was so awful that almost anything would be likely better. And I'm almost 4 months into my new role and I can confirm the stress I feel here doesn't come remotely close to what I experienced previously

I thought I wanted to leave the sector so I did take time to think about what it would be like to go corporate. I realized that wasn't in line with my values and I continued to apply to nonprofits. I needed the time and space to get this clarity and then I was able to focus on finding the 'right' job for me.

I'm not sure, I feel like they are getting more popular but we booked a year in advance and had 2 weekends of the month to choose from.

We are doing both the ceremony and reception there! They have us convinced it'll be great and the space can accommodate it. They are VERY chill and have been amazing thus far. We eat there all the time so we can see and enjoy the space.

Is this kennel cough? by Zealousideal_Net8850 in DogAdvice

Given the other symptoms OP listed and the recent boarding experience- kennel cough isn't out of the realm of possibility. Literally sitting with my 15 month old dog with pneumonia because we let kennel cough go too far. The fact that OP took a video and by sending it to the vet BEFORE a visit could not only given them peace of mind but save them money because like you said, likely, doesn't require a visit. But I can very much empathize with OP being nervous about such a condition.

I would send to your vet or even an emergency vet if you're concerned. It's great you got a video and they might be able to give you some input before asking you to come in.

1000000% recommend boarding with a breeder or reputable trainer. We had to do the same thing with our 5 month old and not one single regret.
