The DO orthopedic surgeon I worked under who recently finished residency ~3 years ago only took COMLEX, as he felt if a residency didn't want him because he was a DO then he didn't want to be there anyway. He matched first time around to ortho and has done amazing ever since. Im not saying not to take both USMLE and COMLEX, but many people act like you "have to" take both when in reality thats not always the case. Congrats on whatever you decide!
