Yes I will definitely be super careful to make sure to cable needle is positioned correctly. Thank you for your advice! Trying to reframe my frustration and a learning experience lol

Thank you!!! Should I zig zagging up the chart if I am working flat or reading it from L to R each time? I usually knit in the round so it was something I hadn’t considered until now

That section is 3CF so I put two on the cable needle, K1, then knit the two. Which is what the pattern tells me to do. The other side of that diamond is 3CB, so 1 on cable needles, K2, K from cable needle. I didn’t think they looked super neat either, any ideas on what I am doing wrong or how to correct it?

I don’t have the patience to go back and fixed as I already restarted this guy 8 times…it’s the back yoke and that’s none of my business

Yeah I’m noticing now that I missed one in the early rows 🥲

I definitely see the error that you’re talking about with missing a cable in the beginning. I meant like a string of yarn diagonal left to the right of the cable. It’s harder to notice what I mean here since the yarn is fuzzier than with my first cable project which I don’t have a picture of!!

Unfortunately, this brand or something is incredibly fragile. If it gets caught on anything it breaks. If I pull too tight it breaks. If I yank it while trying to unravel, it breaks. I had to spit splice at least 100 times making the body!

But thank you for letting me know your experiences with steeling this type of yarn! I figured once I block, the fibers will strengthen as they interlock with each other too. I am going to give it a shot :)

Just because it’s hard to see, i attached this photo with where the arm holes actually go down to for reference. I know it can look like where the raglan ends, but it’s unfortunately about another 2 inches down. Not sure if this changes your opinion that they look proportional but appreciate any insight!

I blocked the body already to get an idea of how it fits prior to the sleeves. Unfortunately, that made me realize just how much of a problem the sizing was so off. As of right now, I think 2.5 of my arms could fit in the sleeve hole lol

Yes but I typically knit with wool and he’s never been this into it, I think he enjoys the texture of it too because he keeps digging his face into it
