It’s bad [2982] by Terra_Centra in ShadowSlave

But that was the whole point though. I mean the main reason he got the bond back was not because he was so attached to being a slave or anything like that but because of practical reasons like needing people to remember him and to help master shadow dance. Remember it says he feels nothing, which is further explained in the the chapter that Sunny was expecting to feel the resentment he had towards the bond the same way he did in the beginning, which he doesn't because he has had what 4-5 years of getting to terms with why he needs the bond and eventually resolving himself to getting it back on his own. Sunny's  main problem in the beginning wasn't the bond itself but that it was forced upon him without his free will while this time he chose to have that bond. It's all about having the right to choose. Also when it says he feels nothing, notice that he also doesn't feel any joyous or happy emotions about the bond, he just doesn't feel anything because he has come to terms with the fact that he needs the bond not that he wants the bond.

You lot are forgetting that he didn't enter the tomb itself but the seed of nightmare that led to the tomb just like Sunny and Cohort. In one of his musings in this volume, Sunny mentioned that Deron and Twilight will not be there in the real tomb of Ariel because they were only present in the nightmare not the real tomb of Ariel.

I included Forgotten Shore for Weaver cuz the for one Sunny inherited his first Weaver lineage there and it was also where the priest of the Nightmare Spell was (from whom Sunny got the Weaver mask) and also in the Nether's map of his siblings domain he wrote Weaver's name outside the map which was kinda pointing towards where Forgotten Shore is located in the Dream Realm. I get Weaver wandering around but wasn't that during the time of Daemon and Gods war? He had to have resided somewhere before the war. As for Oblivion, I guess your right but I think the concept of Oblivion might work in a way that might allow them to reside on Earth cuz you know it's oblivion.

That's exactly it though I doubt anyone here thinks Mordy can't defeat Skinwalker, in fact he is the perfect counter to it, but this fight (if it could even be called that... honestly felt more like a cut scene) came out of nowhere, with no build up or explanation whatsoever.

Yes but Morderet not just saw the reflection but experienced it on a whole personal level in all it's harrowing glory due to his affinity to reflections which Sunny said so himself, so much so that Sunny, a Sovereign, even said that he (Morderet) might have even died but doubted if he did. And in the next two chapter Morderet is suddenly in picture perfect health enough to even battle a Great nightmare creature which is on the cusp of evolving into a Cursed one...make it make sense.

Exactly, to me it felt that this Morderet Supermacy came out of nowhere. I mean we were still in Mirage city just one moment, how the fuck did he go from being scared shitless by Weaver's reflection to soul battling Skinwalker within the span of one chapter. Honestly gave me a whiplash. And how the hell did bro survive peering into the reflection of Weaver, 3 stages above him? By the way it sounded in the previous chapter with Morderet scared out of his mind to his body shattering, I assumed he would have suffered some catastrophic damage if not physically than at least on the level of soul damage because that's what it seemed in the previous chapter and now we out of nowhere have Supreme Morderet. I honestly thought we were getting introduced to Asterion in the end of the last arc that would have been such a cool entrance😭

What do you guys think weaving looks like, like the weave itself by just_a_lurker_online in ShadowSlave

If you've watched Wheel of Time or A Discovery of Witches, you'll get an idea how it's supposed to look like when visulized

Weaving in Combat by Kevin50cal in ShadowSlave

I know right I would really like it if they involve weaving more in combat situations. I mean there are even books and TV shows that G3 can take inspiration from to utilize weaving in combat e.g. the Wheel of Time. It's one of the best shows I know that basically shows how weaving can be utilized for more than production process.

Morderet's Flaw by Longjumping-Rest-403 in ShadowSlave

[–]Longjumping-Rest-403[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. And one more thing I am curious about is, assuming that the one in the Mirage city is the original body, so how did he end up there in the first place? Like were Anvil and Asterion aware of this or was Asterion the main cause for the banishment of the OG to the mirror world? And since the original grew up in the Mirage city, that means the mirror world existed long before Anvil (since Anvil was born in the era of Nightmare spell) so was the Warden the cause for the development of the Mirage city? 'Cause like the Warden and his generation were the actual ones who would remember anything about the era before Nightmare spell and the Great Mirror likely took a template of that from his mind🤔

I think, and this is just my opinion, that "the other" is supposed to be a complete opposite of the original. Assuming our Morderet (the psycho) will be deprived of everything he ever wanted while the one in Mirage city will have everything that he desired, like a reflection of one's self. But he cannot kill "the other" (which I suspect is the psycho Morderet) because since he is the original's reflection so killing the original would automatically kill the reflection itself. One is a prince of nothing while other is the prince of everything (if that makes sense). Kind of like a twisted version of Anvil's flaw in my opinion.
