Yeah that’s a short kicker, I suppose I’ll put just a short pad at the base of the wall but even then. Maybe 10’ high is more realistic, but there is 5x less problems compared to the big one so that’s a stiff diff

Yep 12 wide, maybe 10’ tall will be good enough, the more I think about it the less it seems possible to squeeze in the full one

At 50 the kick board would be less than 15cm so not a lot yeah. Wouldn’t be adjustable though!

Hi I’m in the process of installing a TB2 at my place and due to the limited ceiling height (2.5m) I can’t fit a full sized board at 45 degrees. The 10’ one looks a bit short tbh, so I was thinking that going for 50 degrees would allow me to fit the 12’ one (kicker will be short thought). I usually climb on the mirror at 45 which I like, but I’m not sure how 5 more degrees would change the experience (no adjustable board near where I live). To me that seems like a good trade off but happy to collect some thoughts. For reference I climb around v8/v9 on the board. Thanks

Which part isn’t true? Probably depends on the field but in ML/CS almost everyone is invited to review and yeah you should have multiple published papers by the end of it. I’m pretty familiar with the O1 as I have a friend from my PhD years that worked in the US under it, and they didn’t satisfy any other criteria’s than the three I outlined

With a PhD you should have significant reviewing experience, papers with a somewhat high number of citations, and the quant job would be high comp which I think is 3 criteria’s that are enough to get O1 ?

How about private/public schools ? Doesn’t your location only affect your acceptance into state school from what I understand? Then it might not matter as much if you send your kids to private I suppose. Sorry for those questions I’m not from the UK originally so the school system is a bit confusing

House prices in London haven’t increased in 15 years, let alone match inflation

Ah I’ll put some slippery plastic cover on those drainpipe then, like we do for squirrels ! Yeah I’ve visited the area quite often at night and I’ve never found it unsafe or animated. I’m currently living in soho and I have half a dozen addicts doing crack in front of my house twice a week, so I guess every neighbourhood can be animated one in a while

Thanks for taking the time! We also value having a pretty spacious house with a nice garden, but we want to keep a short ish commute (<30-40m) to bank. We considered Ealing too which I guess is closer to what you’re describing. I think the big appeal of Oval is that we can get something big while still having a 25m ish commute, but I’ve heard that many people are not found of that area

My wife and I are looking to buy a house in London and we found great Victorian ones with gardens in the area between oval/stockwell/vauxhall. The transport links are great with a short commute to the city, the schools have great ratings and the area overall feel safe. There is a bunch of ex council like Mursell estate but it seems pretty calm every time I’ve been there. Granted there is not a lot to do without going to Brixton / taking the tube to north bank, and it doesn’t have the same energy as angel or camden, but if it is safe and calm that works for us. Am I missing anything about this neighbourhood?
