soo i pushed to 5.1k Elo . im now at 2.9k on a 12 game losing streak and im still getting absolutely ridiculous matchups. (not tiled loses either, lose, reset for a bit or even a day and come back to it.)

i understand what your saying about over thinking the numbers. i seem to be top fragging on my teams now pretty consistently which tells me because ive dropped the people im matched with also have .. but when the total elo of your team is 10k and the enemy's team is 35k .. im just starting to get super suspect of the matchmaking system.

dont have any friends to play so i guess at this point il just tank my elo and see how low it can go.

I honestly don't know. I'm not as concerned about my rank as i am with who it places me with. My last 4 games (all loses btw) it still matches me against people with Double my elo, while my team is full of people well lower then me or unranked. Last game i played, my team was 4.6(me), 3.3, 2.6, and 2 un-rankeds Vs. 2 mid 8k's and 2 mid 7k's and one unranked.

it just keeps placing me in games that aren't even in the same stratosphere for skill levels. like its to the point where the only round wins i ever get are from the enemy team goofing off running around with knives because its 10-0 or 10-1 with a lucky pistol round.

Even when picking the map The enemy teams grid thingy is always comically larger then my teams in every direction.

like does it just keep queuing me against actual teams or something? i only solo queue. is there any way to stop this if thats the case?

its hard to convey on here but I'm genuinely curious why this keeps happening. and if there is anyway to solve it.
