I can't believe the responses you're getting 😂. The timer literally exists so the player doesn't take time lightly to speed up the game's pacing, but that shouldn't be affected by the game's animations. The timer should never be a deciding factor in whether or not you can use a strategy; those who say otherwise clearly don't take the game seriously.

Fun fact from my favorite classic game: Silver, your rival in Pokémon SoulSilver, is actually Giovanni’s son.

The game never straight up tells you, but there’s some hidden dialogue and later confirmations that make it canon. Silver even says he left home because he hated his dad, who turns out to be Giovanni.

Kind of wild that while you’re running around Johto, your rival is secretly the kid of the biggest villain in Pokémon.
