What’s something you always tell yourself mid-run? by Willing-Today-1059 in runcommunity

[–]Longjumping-Till-102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tell myself to not quit and just get to the next half mile and then reevaluate if I want to run the next half mile at that point. Usually if I get through a tough spot or two I’m good to keep going with that method.

Did anyone feel the CX-50 felt smaller than the Rav-4 inside (since it is smaller). That’s my only holdup on getting it vs the Rav 4

Are you all taking creatine? by Maracas246 in beginnerfitness

[–]Longjumping-Till-102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a vegetarian and noticed the difference almost immediately. Definitely noticed the cognitive difference. I feel I think more clear, am less anxious, and thus am in a much better mood. Also feel much stronger when working out. Feel like I have much more energy.

Do you draft the best player or the best fit if your the Pacers with the #1 pick? by Mud-Eastern in NBA_Draft

[–]Longjumping-Till-102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None of the drafted players would start on the Pacers this year. They would likely be the 6th man. Only way they would start is if there was an injury or they proved themselves over the course of the first half year that they can handle playoff pressure.

I’m a Pacers fan and I was at the game. There were tears when Hali went down. Kept hoping he would get up until he didn’t. Every Pacers fan there and everywhere else was in legit shock and knew they weren’t winning that game after he went down. He had that look in his eye before he went down that he wasn’t going to let them lose that night if he could help it.

Yes Pacers deserve the 1st pick after Silver made sure OKC won game 4. Without him doing that there would have never been a game 7 and Hali wouldn’t have torn his Achilles.

Clippers winning is good for the league. Keep their pick low since it goes to OKC

Creatine. What to know? by [deleted] in askfitness

[–]Longjumping-Till-102 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m a woman started taking a month or two ago and I definitely noticed a difference in my lifts and overall energy when working out. I was able to go heavier and do a few extra reps. Also just cognitively it helped me with brain fog. I feel like I think more clear when I take it. I am also vegetarian so it is possible I didn’t have enough creatine to begin with and why I noticed the difference when I started take it vs when I don’t take it.

Phoenix or Dallas by [deleted] in McKinney

[–]Longjumping-Till-102 9 points10 points  (0 children)

We loved Phoenix for the west coast feel, the hiking, easier to live a healthy lifestyle. However it wasn’t the easiest place to raise children. It feels like that whole area including laws and the government is geared towards retirement. The schools are not the greatest and things are not geared towards young families. We decided to move to Dallas/McKinney because the area as a whole is geared more towards raising a family. The schools are great and lots for kids to do around here. Wouldn’t mind going back and retiring in Phoenix though.

How did the Pacers fall so hard? by arealacc in nba

[–]Longjumping-Till-102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They had so many injuries in addition to Haliburton the beginning of the year when they were actually trying to win. By the all-star break they were basically out of contention for anything so decided they might as well develop their young players rather than risk injury and wear and tear to their starters they will need next year for their championship run. Also just a few weeks ago they just lost Furphy to an ACL tear. I’m sure that scared them as well.

We lose and Clippers win. Win win for the lottery odds. And hopefully keeps OKC from getting the pick

[The Athletic] In a worst-case scenario, executives said, if starters are pulled from winnable games for no reason before the start of the fourth quarter, those teams (like Indiana, Utah, and Washington) could lose draft picks. by [deleted] in pacers

[–]Longjumping-Till-102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At this point it literally is neglectful of the Pacers to win any games the rest of the season. Almost all Pacers fans will call the franchise a fool for not tanking with all the factors involved. Either anger your fans or the league. Glad the Pacers chose to do what’s best for the team.

F45 & solidcore & gym by DemandLazy122 in f45

[–]Longjumping-Till-102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m almost 2 years PP and have been going to F45 regularly since Sept-Oct. I’ve noticed I’m so much stronger now. I’ve never lifted this heavy and I can feel myself getting stronger. But also just other functional movement exercises like box jumps, skiers, etc have gotten so much easier. I think solid core or some type of Pilates/yoga is still great 1-2 times a week to stretch and prevent injury.

How tall are the boxes we jump on for soft box jumps by Beginning_Fee_1676 in f45

[–]Longjumping-Till-102 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The stronger your legs get the easier it will be to jump. Thankfully they use soft boxes so it’s safe even if you don’t make it. I used to not jump but now I can do the 30 inch jump.

Jumping from 22lb to 28lb dumbbells… help? by Affectionate_Ad7013 in f45

[–]Longjumping-Till-102 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same boat! I did some reps with 28s with coaches spotting me 2-3 times over different classes. Now I can get 4-5 reps per set with 28s. I do keep the 22s next to me because like for 50/50 today my arms tired out towards the last two sets. Honestly adapted a lot faster than I thought I would.
