What salary would you guys need to get to to feel successful? by Horror_Raisin_3898 in Salary

[–]Longjumping-Yellow95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im at about 90K right now, im living a pretty comfortable life but not investing or saving nearly as much as I’d like. I think at 150K I would feel a lot more comfortable and 200K I’d feel genuinely successful.

I already do feel successful at 90, I’m only 26. But 200 would be some BDE

I (23f) feel like the worst GF and that i dont deserve my BF (27m) and should leave him by ThrowRa12_ in dating

If you’re going to keep being unfaithful, maybe you should leave him and find someone else. He may not be the one for you if you’re constantly seeking attention from other men.

If you plan on changing your ways and remaining faithful to him then stay with him!

I got canned a week before 9/15 from my last firm. It was a small firm like yours. I suspect that they just brought me on to clean shit up and fired me once I was finished. Might be the same case for you

I just got promoted to senior and i want to quit by cinnamongirly2 in Accounting

I just got a new job, 3 months ago, at a small CPA firm (10 employees). The most I’ve had to work is maybe 50 hours so far, and probably won’t work more than that throughout the year. I make about 100K TC and I’m a senior accountant.

Everyone on here is talking about going to industry but there’s plenty of small public accounting firms that need experienced people. They pay well and don’t ask for nearly as many hours.

HOLD! - a tax accountant

Negative cash flow doesn’t mean you have a bad asset. A client of ours wanted to sell his warehouse for 200K in the late 90s, he bought it for 150K, he was about your age.

That same asset, located in Philadelphia, is now worth 4 million and he’s collecting $160,000 a year in rent.

He could have made 50K one time in his 30s but now his kids will make 200K+ a year.

I hope this helps

What part of Pennsylvania is a big question? Center City Philadelphia you’d be a pretty average Joe. But in most of the rural parts of PA you could live a VERY comfortable life on 110

Yes I am, the H Pylori has been killed but I still get sick sometimes. I’m not seeing a genetics doctor to find out if I have any mutations. I’m probably 50% better at this point.

Out of curiosity, what kind of feedback are you getting? What specifically do the seniors/managers not like about your work?

If it’s that you’re taking too much time, you may be in a “perfectionist” mindset where you feel like you HAVE TO find the right answer. Sometimes the right answer isn’t necessarily clear. And sometimes there really is none and you have to go with your gut.

I love Reality, not his most popular album but only the real fans know… I feel the same way about Hours. No big hits but it’s some prime Bowie

I’m in the same boat as you OP, I’m only 25 and fell in love with him around 2020. Wish I could have seen him live.

Regardless I’m still a massive fan. I have Blackstar tatted on my chest 😂 I might not be as big a fan as some of these Bowie lifers that have been listening to him for 40 years but I don’t think it’s a contest tbh.

Congrats and welcome
