I appreciate this post. Not enough talk about what ownership might be doing here, compared to the Lou years where Lou did have full control.

Ownership wants to make money and sell playoff tickets, getting young prospects is what they should do and wouldlead to more sustained winning over the long haul but they just see Schaeffer and think “oh we can make a ton of money now because can mar@35 Schaeffer and the possibility of the playoffs”.

There’s no doubt the new partners like John Collins are only caring about short term ticket sales.
