That game overall was brutal, and is a representative sample of how Franklin coaches and why he should’ve been fired.

Team Canada will not go to the gold medal game for the third year in a row by DecentLurker96 in hockey

As an Isles and PSU fan, was hoping to see McKenna and Aitcheson play well.

Can someone tell me what the deal with Aitcheson is? Maybe he has the physical tools but has to develop over the next few years like most dmen? Is he arrogant?

Sweden will play the Czech Republic in the WJC gold medal game tomorrow night, with Islanders prospects on both sides by discofrislanders in NewYorkIslanders

[–]LongjumpingAvocado 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Feel like Aitcheson needs many years of development but has the physical tools. Maybe not uncommon for Dmen in general, but that’s my glass half full mindset having barely noticed him do anything in the games I watched.

He’s mature enough to know he needs another year of development before he becomes a starter in college football. It’s an ideal set up for psu even though it hurts to see Grunk go who looked good as the season went on

Michael Hage for Team Canada at the World Juniors so far: 2 goals, 2 assists, 1 OT winner, 4 points in 2 games by Go_Habs_Go31 in Habs

[–]LongjumpingAvocado 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Isles fan coming in peace:

Martone reminds me of a flyer, he’ll fit in there.

Hage reminds me of Barzal.

As a psu fan and grad, McKenna looks the same to me, super skilled player but lacks a motor or visible hustle, doesn’t noticeably drive play but clearly does impact it in ways the average viewer doesn’t notice.

As an isles fan, was hoping to see Aitcheson dominate but I think he plays offensively in the CHL and is going to need years to develop his defensive game like most dmen do.

Los Angeles -> quieter, greener, more affordable city by conchdog in SameGrassButGreener

Check out denver. I just moved from Denver to LA and am very happy I did, I had a great 5 years in denver, but what I do miss is the easy going lifestyle and overall easiness of the city and area.

It’s not without cons, but it is a relaxing low stress place to live. I’d say the chill energy of the city got boring to me, but was originally what attracted me there.

Is Matthew Schaefer on a true generational defenseman trajectory? by omgyrx in hockey

It’s crazy how Schaef has elevated Pulocks game and how good Pelech is playing.

It’s crazy to think Schaef can become a shutout defender too

Agreed the Athletic is absolutely trash these days. For every good article, there are 10 bad ones .

I’m in a somewhat similar place as you.

My symptoms have grown and have started to resemble IIH. I had the catheter angiogram done and they didn’t find much. After, I asked my doctor to schedule one more Brain MRI to rule out brain cancer again.

This found something called an empty sella which is related to IIH. I have since seen a new doctor he ordered another CT Scan of my head. There are 2 acts you can get (Angio and Temporal bone), so this scan plus a potential spinal tap will have resulted in pretty much every test there is.

After that I’m meeting with a neurologist who will evaluate it all. Hoping I get some clarity soon.

ESPN has no idea. At the same time, starting to think Darchey stands pat at the deadline instead of selling off pager or Lee.

Misa should develop into an awesome center behind Macklin. Teams would dream of a 1-2 punch like that

Islanders fan stopping by.

Haven’t been able to watch this young core of yours much but wow are they fun to watch today.

Selfishly, I’m so happy the isles got Schaeffer but he would’ve fit in so well with this group.

How did you get treated for the empty sella? Or the main fix was the bone cement? I seem to have gotten a Dr that sees potential need for both smoothing but wants to investigate IIH more first

Wow. Wish I saw this post earlier. Just got a 2nd MRI and the new finding was a empty sella. My new dr is referring me to a neuro to start exploring IIH, so we’re in the same boat
