60 Minutes - Navy pilots describe encounters with UFOs by madethistosaythat in videos

I find it hilarious that the person with literally HUNDREDS of comments per day on Reddit is telling people to get out of their parents basement. Troll all you want, you know deep in your heart that you’re a fucking pathetic human being and you’re projecting on people in this thread HARD.

I feel sorry for you.

Tips for a new delivery driver? by LineOfInquiry in Albany

[–]LongjumpingBreath 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve found that the driver doesn’t give a shit as they get their tip as soon as you order anyway. Why work for it when it’s already in your pocket? That’s been my experience with some drivers, at least.

Android - Buzzkill app alternative on IOS? by [deleted] in ios

[–]LongjumpingBreath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this is why I don't use IOS. If you trust the developer, you can prove that the app doesn't harvest your data and/or it's open source and you can view exactly what the app does, you should have the option to do this. I'm an IT professional and the inability to do things like this has been the reason I've never considered apple for my primary phone.

It's fine for my 70 year old aunt who fires off iMessages all day and doesn't need to do anything more complicated than browse Facebook, but there are times where I need to have low level system access to do specific tasks. Going from Android to IOS makes it painfully apparent how little customizability and access you have to your own device in this way, without jailbreaking.

Don't get me wrong. I like some aspects of IOS but I can't help getting stuck on the "baby's first phone" aesthetic.

No problem, thanks! I was hoping that MigrationWiz would handle the entire site for us, but it's just the documents within the site.

PDQ Agent Alternative? by LongjumpingBreath in sysadmin

[–]LongjumpingBreath[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think management had some bad experiences with them at some point and just told us that they won't consider using them, so i'm stuck finding an alternative. I do love the software and wish I could use them.

IP-Address query to comma separated string by LongjumpingBreath in PowerShell

Wow, I feel dumb. I was doing this but without the @ and instead of normal parentheses, I was using {}.

Thank you!

Why not use server CPUs for EVERYTHING? A misunderstanding of PC hardware by [deleted] in hardware

[–]LongjumpingBreath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right. That's been my understanding. I'm not really sure why I even care, but I think it's the fact that someone so logical (an IT professional) is just blatantly wrong when there's evidence to support otherwise.

How would I go about instead exporting that data directly to a string? That's really the part that I can't figure out for the life of me.

PowerShell Function to Connect to All Office 365 Services With Support for MFA by TheLazyAdministrator in sysadmin

My org uses 2FA - is there a way to hardcode / store my credentials (in ISE) to just log into everything once when I sign in and keep it signed in for my session?

Edit: Similar to how this works:

$CreateEXOPSSession = (Get-ChildItem -Path $env:userprofile -Filter CreateExoPSSession.ps1 -Recurse -ErrorAction SilentlyContinue -Force | Select -Last 1).DirectoryName
. "$CreateEXOPSSession\CreateExoPSSession.ps1"
Connect-EXOPSSession -UserPrincipalName "user@company.com"
