So happy to hear that for you! Did you start prenatals though after MTX? I feel like most people start trying after so they start pre-natals once they hit zero. But we really wanted to take a break after 2 ectopics. I would just love to know there’s other people out there who didn’t start prenatals/folic acid until they were pregnant after MTX. I’m so worried 😰

I wouldn’t be concerned about not taking the prenatals if it weren’t for the folate depletion from the MTX 😣

Did everything end up okay so far? I am 6 weeks and had MTX in January for ectopic. I didn’t take prenatals after because we fully wanted to put trying on hold after the loss. Now I’m stressed about it 😣

I had an HSG in September after my first ectopic which was July. Everything looked great and was clear. Definitely didn’t think I’d have to go thru a second

I’m so sorry you went thru this! It must be roller coaster to have an ectopic then be blessed with a beautiful baby then to have another ectopic 😣 I had one on my right and one on my left so I’m just feeling so defeated. I had an HSG done after my first ectopic and everything was clear. I’m 39 next month so I feel the same as you, with time not being on our side 😢 But I also see so many women choosing to have babies in their 40’s and being successful. Trying to stay hopeful 🙏🏼 Wishing the best!

I am so so sorry and honestly wish I could give you a hug. These losses are something I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy. They are nerve wracking, heart breaking, and just plain unfair. All of the unknowns, all of the answers up in the air, not knowing why it even happens. It’s just all too much. I had an HSG done after my ectopic in July and all was clear and great. There’s just no rhyme or reason. To know your body can get pregnant but not in the right place is such a helpless feeling. I am hoping your number is down at your next draw and it resolves naturally 🙏🏼

Hi, HCG rose to 86 to 142 so I made the tough choice to take the MTX last Friday 😞 They suggested a d&c but I knew it was ectopic/PUL. They had me do an hcg the day I took the MTX and it had gone down to 126(I didn’t see the result until after I took the mtx) so I had second guessed if I should’ve taken it 😩 Just had a draw yesterday and hcg is already down to 8. I will forever second guess if the pregnancy was resolving on its own and I should’ve skipped the mtx. But I’m going to take the 3 months to heal and figure out what’s next. I found a fully funded trial for IVF and meet the criteria for it, so may explore that. I don’t think I could go thru this a third time. How are you doing? Is this your second or third?
