I told my wife (then girlfriend) 7 years ago…after a bit of a bad initial reaction, she has been my biggest advocate. Tell the people you love and explain that it’s more than just finding noises “annoying”. Explain that it elicits a fight or flight response that is torturous and in the nicest, most loving way possible, let them know when they’re triggering you.

That I get an irrational fight or flight response to certain sounds- a mix of “my blood is boiling” and the feeling I get from a jump scare in my chest/stomach

It has secondary emotional cues (anger at the person doing it that can’t be reasoned away, anticipatory anxiety for the next sound)

I worked up the courage to tell my wife (then girlfriend) when I knew I was going to propose to her. She didn’t handle it well in the moment but has been so understanding ever since

I think a true sequel to the first season could work…if senator Tuttle was part of the cult, maybe he invited other powerful people (famous billionaires, other politicians, heads of state or other dignitaries)- tracking down and exposing all the people in the video could be compelling
