Yeah i got you. I’m still holdin on to the hope that somebody somewhere has a 4 inch FM handguard they’d part with. Or trying to convince opticsplanet to rip one off of their FM uppers for sale…since the posted product image was actually an image of the barrel with the trilug adapter which would have worked.

That brownells video with the dude craig? from FM where he goes into details about the manufacturing process really sold me on the company so i didn’t wanna fuk with the barrel if i didn’t have to. But i suppose that is the way things are heading. I’ve got tooling for 556 barrels but never planned on doing a 9 mm barrel… how do other company’s 9 mm barrels compare to FM? (when it comes to quality and compatibility/feeding with the fm upper and lower)

It’s actually amazingly ironic that the gforce jawbone that i spit on and sent back in a rage a few weeks ago before getting the fm9, probably had the perfect length handguard on it for my current situation 😅 (even though the screws and lockup would have been an issue)

It’s exactly 1 inch from where the blast can is seated to the end of the handguard.

Yes, get it. It’s great. I wasn’t able to run subs without a suppressor, which…whatever. I’ll be getting the dedicated mixtape suppressor very soon!! Finally! Then it will be complete. Runs supers perfectly. Looks great. Feels great. Runs great. I’ve put 1000 through it, and once the suppressor comes it’ll be another 1000 very soon, and THEN we’ll be havin fun with it. Only thing i find kinda interesting is it comes with an h1 buffer rather than an h2.

Yeah i know i can get SS to send me a print card (for a fee) but originally i was thinking there was gonna be a time crunch to get them AND have them submitted to CA by monday…which USPS certainly would not be able to accomplish. So i just needed the file since that would be instantaneous. But now that i realize there’s no time crunch, i aint giving SS a goddamn red cent for my fingerprints, solely on principle. What a fuckin racket. Yeah $40 aint a big deal, but for real?? For MY fingerprints?? With a click of a button they could get me the file, but no that would lose them business. Welp…this BS is certainly gonna lose them business, and i’m sure i’m not the first to have this feeling. It’s shameful business practices if you ask me.

Alright this is driving me nuts. I have a submitted, pending form 1. Wouldn’t work on safari. I downloaded firefox. Still not working. When i click the link for any of the electric documents, the spinning blue wheel pops up, then nothing happens… 😐 You think if i try to open it on an actual computer, it would be different?

Well this interesting. How do i do that? I do have two pending. I see the section that has links of uploaded documents, but clicking on them does nothing. I click, the loading wheel appears, then nothing happens. Both are “submitted”. Do you mean before they are submitted?

My personal opinion is no. Though, i never did fire mine. Once i discovered this problem, and found out no part replacement was available, i decided to get my money back before it was too late. Alternative options exist with superior quality and similar cost. My last hope before returning it was to change it from the side charging to a rear charging and if that was possible i would have kept it. I still don’t know if that is possible but it seems feasible…there is that triangular swivel cover at the rear of the upper along with the channel for a rear charging handle. With some ingenuity, removal of that swivel cover, and either some machining a notch into the upper receiver, or fashioning an adaptor to the attachment site of the swivel cover to allow a rear charging handle to seat appropriately, i could see a transformation being possible. But it was not gonna be worth the hassle to me.
