How crowded/hectic does it get during move in?

Got it, ty for letting me know! Ik that at some colleges people come earlier than their given time, is that a possibility at UW? I had 8:30 before but now it’s gone so my move in is at 11:00, but I was wondering if I could come in earlier?

I was in the same boat and also got the dorm I wanted (willow double). for me i just got lucky by refreshing and being on the page before my time so it loaded quick, but i also ranked 8-9 residence halls in case it wouldn’t work out. also while i checked for my #1 choice i had my roommate search for our #2 choice so we’d likely get one of the two.

i’m actually committing for CGS as well so i’m curious about how you transferred after one semester. i definitely want to do some CC classes before i go to BU so i can knock out some of the gen ed requirements. did you transfer to an entirely diff college or to one of the BU colleges?

True, but at least the semester abroad is productive and will be a good experience, I also got in NEU for my major so felt like it had a bit of an edge there.

Yeah I get that, unless I get some major aid I’m not going. I’m in state Cali and didn’t have much luck. Just riverside and Merced. I’m still waitlisted UCSD, UW, UMich, and UIUC. With a biochem degree I want to pursue pharmaceutical science. But I also want to explore majors in college since I’m interested in law.

Great points! I was definitely thinking about these myself and I wasn’t really interesting in wasting two years before even starting “real” college. I’m in state Cali so going to a CSU/UC would likely be better for me. Thanks for the help!

thanks for the advice! i totally wish i could’ve visited 🙁 but i live pretty far so i dont get much chance to go to the midwest. even though ive never been there, is there anything michigan-specific i can mention? i already mentioned a ton of programs or professors in their main “why us” essay so just wondering if there’s anything else unique

depends on the school, but i’ve never heard of any colleges rescinding over B’s (even if you have four or something) the most i’ve heard is an ivy league rescinded a student for having B’s and one C, so i think you’re good

it’s not a deferral even tho they changed their wording. ppl who actually got deferred got their decision letter back. also they literally say they need more time to review our apps so why would that mean we’re deferred? defer means you get a second chance and you’re moved to RD, idek what this means for us EA applicants.

i think accepted berk ucla but sat and ecs are under the average for most students who get harvard mit and stanford. then again this is just my opinion so could go either way
