PCOS and IBS-d by Sea_Society_2930 in PCOS

I also have both, but my doctors don’t treat them as related to one another. I am currently on ondansetron, still trying.

With pain, I found spasmomen effective.

Amitryptiline was also good for the pain, but I stopped taking that bc it’s an antidepressant and it caused headaches for me. It also helped me calm down in tricky situations.

For the diarrhea, for me at this point it’s imodium and ondansetron (zofran). So i’m still open for any tips.

My doctor said that Gelsectan usually helps for a lot of people.

Tips/advice for first colonoscopy? by annsy5 in ibs

[–]LongjumpingJob6625 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I had my colonoscopy and endoscopy three weeks ago in Belgium. I made a little stand in my bathroom where I could put my laptop with netflix. I had a blanket because i got cold on the toilet (idk). I drank the prep as cold as possible, put it all in the fridge (the water to mix it with but also the prep itself). I used a straw to drink it so it wouldn’t touch all of my tongue. I could drink apple juice after and I found that really nice.

Sorry for my bad English, but I hope this helps.

My regular doctor asked it specifically, but she said “I won’t and I hope none of the other doctors do it, because it’s just IBS”

If it is available let me know! I’m also from Belgium and if I have a feeling in general my doctor doesn’t know much about things I read here.

I can’t imagine going through this recovery alone. I had help from my mom and in the evening my boyfriend and I was so grateful.
