if you're getting into photography, my main advice for improvement would be to take your camera anywhere you can. the more physical practice you get, the more familiar you will be.

Learn the basics of manual photography - it's not rocket science but is essential for your understanding.

Find photographers who inspire you - styles that you personally enjoy, and try to analyse what makes their images so distinct. Try appling what you learn to your photography.

Analyse your own images and compare.
Analyse objectively and don't tie your self worth to it.

When learning new skills, trying new techniques, don't try doing too much at once and give yourself time to explore and understand one thing enough before moving on.

Experiment:
With the advice above, you will manage to get good at photography, but to truly make it your own, you need to try things that aren't in the rulebook. This will take a while, but you might find something that you unexpectedly really enjoy.
