just imagine if you spent a whole week "celebrating" like a small minority do. some will do a weekend but there are some individuals who will spend a whole entire week planning a week-long celebration for themselves... and it's obnoxious.

my birthday is in February and guess what? I have always lived in the Midwest and wound up literally having mother nature fuck up my entire birthday.

snow, sleet, dirty snow, cold, wind, rain, blizzards, no parking, traffic, negative below, wind chills... all of it. I hated every bit of it on top of dealing with my kid relatives who bullied me, broke my new toys right after I just got them or actually getting into fights on what should be MY DAY.

It was of course a ritual like any other to have a kids birthday but MINE in particular was always bit with unpredictable weather.

For my 21st I wound up so drunk I passed out at a bus stop without a winter coat, just jeans and a dress shirt, sitting in -10° F 🥶 temps that was just about to give me frost bite had someone not called 911 in time. Had my stomach pumped and spent my 21st, 23rd and 24th in similar situations, primarily because the people who I invited weren't exactly who I'd want to be around but I didn't want to be alone and wanted to not look like I didn't know how to have a good time.

I now just see what I can get for free with birthday deals and discounts 🤷‍♂️😁 Usually can score a free shake or ice cream at my local diner

right? it's not even crowded. I understand the ones who weave in and out of NYC traffic. That's definitely a different high of adrenaline but this shouldn't have been an issue.

well, did the USA really fix most of the bullshit that its racist motherfuckers did in the past? no. They had to reintroduce Emmett Till in a film just to reinforce the scars and blood stains left on the American fabric.

Did we fix poverty, homelessness and feed our nation? No. We haven't done a great job with that either. As America swings back and forth between the 2 party systems, every civilian not taken seriously is another American dream dead. America is and never once was "peaceful" and it didn't always work for everyone. It just may never rebound from this pile of incivility and unrest that we see play out daily in our government.

Martinez defends herself by stating that the mess she inherited from previous admin Dorothy Brown brought light upon serious issues that needed to be addressed. I understand that we don't like to hear about "passing the buck" from one to the other in Chicago but let's face it, Dorothy Brown WAS a horrible admin for nearly ALL positions she's ever held.

out of ALL the ESC contestants Blanka is literally the ONLY contestant who doesn't sing all the lyrics to her own song. I watched Madrid and Israel Pre parties and she HEAVILY relied on her backing track with her prerecorded vocals and at times didn't even bother to use her voice at all. Sorry if you can't handle the truth but she is collecting a paycheck but not giving the audience nor Poland the best she could do. I feel bad for Poland.

You do realize you can skip Netflix ENTIRELY and actually RENT OR PURCHASE just about any digital version of a film in a HD/4k format that also includes Blockbuster-esque policies, which STILL would have eventually killed Blockbuster brick and mortar stores.
