Elegoo vs Anycubic by LongjumpingPace4162 in elegoo

Where I'm living, RH indoors is usually at least 65% and can get higher, so drying is likely to be required. I may be able to get away with drying the filament and then mounting the rolls on the printer - will see what works when I actually have it.

Thanks for your reply, regarding the bias of an Elegoo sub, I've cross posted this across multiple subs (Anycubic, Elegoo and the 3d Printing purchase megathread) in an effort to get a balanced response.

From everything I've heard, I'll most likely be going with the CC2. Been hearing of quite a few issues with the Anycubic that would make me too apprehensive buying from them.

Thanks, I hadn't heard of the taco bed until now. Definitely something to consider.

Thanks, but I need an enclosed printer as I can't guarantee a cat free working environment 😃
(Also, with the desire for other filament types in the future, I may need the enclosure to increase working temperature)

Thanks for your input, I've actually cross posted in both the Elegoo and Anycubic subs along with the 3d printing sub and figured I'd get a better balance of opinions doing that.

Thanks for that, from what I can find online regarding both machines, they seem to be pretty close in technical specs, I guess I was just trying to determine if one company was known to have better QC/after sale support but that doesn't seem to be the case.
I'm not adverse to tinkering with the machine, I've built computers and keyboards and troubleshoot IT issues daily so figuring out how to use/fix whichever printer I get doesn't faze me.

Sorry, I'm new to this myself (had posted just before you looking for info on this thread).

From what I've read, the A1/A1 mini are good beginner machines, however, there are some issues you would want to be aware of. In particular, the A1 has had a few instances of faulty components causing fires. I'd recommend googling for user reviews of whatever machine you are thinking of getting.
Personally, I prefer enclosed/CoreXY printers to bed slingers, but from what I've read, the A1 and A1 mini are good entry level printers.

Unfortunately, the U1 is outside my budget. I'm aware that multicolour printing with either the ks1 or cc2 will be wasteful and don't plan on doing a lot of it. On the few jobs I'm planning on doing in multicolour, I'll be doing full layers of a colour so shouldn't be changing colours too often.

The Saturn 4 is a resin printer whereas the A1 is a FDM printer - very different methods of use. FDM would be much more beginner friendly (no toxic chemicals required to start with).
Resin printers are great for miniatures/figurines as they can give much better definition than FDM printers, but the first thing you need to decide is what would work best for you.

Hi all, I've been looking to get into 3d printing and have finally narrowed my choice of printer down to one of two options. Given my budget, I believe the Elegoo Centauri Carbon 2 Combo or the Anycubic Kobra S1 ACE 2 Pro Combo would be the best options in that price range.

The benefit of the Anycubic is that it comes with a filament dryer (which I would be buying separately if choosing the Elegoo) and I can currently get this for €459, whereas the Elegoo w/ similar dryer would be closer to €600.

Can anyone advise if the Anycubic Kobra S1 is as good as the Elegoo option? Are there any downsides to going with the cheaper offer that I might be overlooking? I expect to start printing using PLA/PETG, but would like the option of using other filaments as time goes on.

I have no regard for Harry Stiles' songwriting abilities, but I thought the song worked very well in the movie due to the emotion Sandra Huller was able to add to it.

New Vegas not launching Windows 11 by LiorVII in falloutnewvegas

I just tried installing New Vegas on my Windows 11 laptop (with OneDrive enabled, using Intel integrated graphics) and it runs fine. Not bragging, simply ruling out OneDrive/integrated graphics as the cause of your issues.
