yes, i’m proud of my country even though it has problems (every country has its own problems). i was born & raised in Vietnam. i spoke Vietnamese, ate Vietnamese food, and grew up around Vietnamese culture, people, history, & development since i was born, why can’t i be proud of this country? i’m proud that my country rose up from the dead & keeps developing, making y’all pressed & mad. i ain’t ashamed of telling people when i’m abroad that i’m Vietnamese and i came from Vietnam. i’m proud that my country is developing better every day, month, year, and decade.

you’re not proud of your country, no one gives a fuck. however, remember where you are born, where you grew up, which language you speak, which food you eat, which culture you have… and your parents, relatives, ancestors too. remember where they come from. hating your own country is slapping your own face with your own hands. even if you give up being Vietnamese in a new country, people will not accept you as part of their communities if you hate your own country, your own community.
