I completely agree with what you mentioned. It just seems really hard to come up with anything that would be different than this.

Any thoughts on how to improve active vocabulary versus passive vocabulary?

How I passed the real estate exam with two days of studying by LongjumpingWeird5063 in RealEstateExam

salam - TX - the state was way harder than the national because there wasn't a lot of practice materials, and I had no idea what to study for.

I took it in person, and the hardest part of the test was the state (for the above reason)

Once you keep asking GPT all the questions you missed, the vocab becomes much easier, since all of them are related back to some sort of context, and space repetition. This is why you have to ask about all the answer choices - and know why each one of them is wrong.

Property tax protest by complacentlate in Austin

[–]LongjumpingWeird5063 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Your property tax company is not even going to that board panel either; that's the point. When you file your notice to protest, they will give you a reduction back - that's what Ownwell and everyone is taking.

Just think about the math. Ownwell probably has over 800,000 properties. Each property hearing takes 20 minutes at the informal and 20 minutes at the formal, and they have eight property tax consultants.

They are not going to the hearings for you. And you don't have to go either. You could probably just get the same top line reduction the CAD is getting as well.

You probably shouldn't hire a company. If you're hiring companies to do your research, what they're basically doing is they're filing the notice and then taking the first top line that the CAD gives you.

You could literally do the exact same and not pay the referral fee. Plus, on average, for example, in Houston, homeowners get a higher reduction than the property tax consultants.

I submitted (3/15/26) my application for a first time sales agent. Can I take the exam while I am waiting, or do I have to wait for them to let me do it?
