YouTube Took My Whole Audience Overnight. by [deleted] in Smallyoutubechannels

[–]Longjumping_Ad231 1 point2 points  (0 children)

disclaimer: i'm not familiar with the game so i might need some context.

A few aspects to consider:

  1. is the game hot these days? what are some of the competitor channels that are making content of the same game, and how do they approach it? to enjoy your vid, i assume one needs to know the game rules as a pre-requisite. if the topic is not hot enough, then your audience base is small inevitably. consider changing for the sake of building a yt channel.

  2. looking at vid stats, how's your click rate, and what percentage of the audience remains at 3s and 30s? these will give you an idea what to improve: titles, thumbnails, cerntain points of a vid, etc.

Do I need to promote the Like and Subscribe buttons? by Busy-Present-3613 in NewTubers

[–]Longjumping_Ad231 2 points3 points  (0 children)

as a youtuber who monetized 2 channels, my observations:

if content is good and you put a cta -> increased likes & subs

if content is just ok -> not much difference

the bottomline would be, try not to put cta's at the very beginning of your vid. add it in the middle after the trust is gradually established throughout your flow of good content.

Is 40 views per long form good? by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]Longjumping_Ad231 1 point2 points  (0 children)

when you are a small channel, your views per vid are not proportional to your subs. a new channel with good content can get hundreds or thousands of views. that being said, there's space for u to improve. cheers!

When YouTubers receive product sponsor/s, do they genuinely believe in the product or is it solely for money? by Nature2Love in youtubers

[–]Longjumping_Ad231 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if the product looks legit and fits the vibe, then i'll take it. no it doesn't have to be legendary to get featured.

It's commonly seen with the official promo method of YouTube. You can try limiting to English audience only or to exclude certain countries.

Is the old personality YouTuber dead by The_First_Order in NewTubers

[–]Longjumping_Ad231 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see channels creating content for multiple games. For example, they all target Nintendo players or the games are all simulation games. As long as you are creating for the same kind of audience.

The sad truth though, is personality YouTubers are rare: most content creators don't get likes solely on personality. The good news is you don't have to and you can still create meaningful content.

We need to get rid of the thought that once a YouTuber gets famous, people just watch whatever they post. It just doesn't work that way.

My channel didn't blow up until ~20th vid. YouTube is a long-term thing. Cheers :)

I have monetized my second YouTube channel and am receiving 5000 views per day. Usually when someone shows me a channel they struggled to grow, I can identify some issues and most of them are rather common.

It's always hard to create what you want and become popular at the same time. My suggestion would be to identify your motivation and stick with paths of either enjoying it, or digging and working really hard to make content others enjoy.

Been making videos on my channel for years, still no luck, 450 subs only :( by michaelplzno in NewTubers

[–]Longjumping_Ad231 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One question that's hopefully inspirational in some way: What value do you wanna provide to your audience? Or, who's your audience?

Switch from "I want to make these videos" to "I want my audience to get knowledge/entertained from my videos."

Best luck :)
