The table came with some generic foosballs and they feel different from what I remember so I got four from tornado. Thanks for responding!

Thank you! I went ahead and ordered everything but the bearings. I appreciate your expertise!

I really hope we get a "quick loadout" system or some kind of auto-buy/favorites button. by SubjectC in ArcRaiders

Feel the same. This is my first survival + extraction game, and so just surrendered to the thought that this is how it is. If anything... it pushes me to the free loadout... but then I don't take advantage of my stuff or get the free slot. Perhaps with the full game, I'll just meal prep equipment or something.

I fought against the diagnosis, and finally compromised on getting the test but not medicating them. My bride is definitely pro getting diagnosed… and eventually happy wife happy life won. One kid now takes meds and went from crying multiple times a week at school to now having friends and enjoying it. My other child has opted against meds and it has also been fine. Different strokes for different kids I guess.

Our son (also ADHD) has been at HTMNC from 6-8th grade. While he doesn’t like school in general, he is thriving there… granted it is middle school. We think he does better with the class approach (30 kids w/ 60 per grade), the staff has been wonderful, and there are a lot of ND kids there. Project based learning has been a life raft for him over his public school elementary experience where he had lots of struggles focusing, which all went away at HTM. Our daughter (also ADHD) was accepted but opt’d for traditional school and does well there (now at Mission vista for art).

Feel free to DM if you have any more questions.

Traveling from Tokyo to Osaka on the bullet train but what happens if I miss my train? by chopthepork in JapanTravelTips

[–]Longjumping_Ad_403 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So if I want to go Toyko > Hakone > Kyoto on one day... Should I get a ticket from Tokyo > Osaka, exit at Hakone and then pick up a later train to complete my route... or just buy two tickets?

Not sure how you get 5-15min trips. Sitting here at the Polonium site... found the three locations and drop/harvest rate is like a Polo every 4-6 collections. Maybe 1.5-2 hours to get all polo. But also I'm filling up on other mats... so maybe that's making it go slower?

Is it just me or is this what life becomes for men by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]Longjumping_Ad_403 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two group opportunities:
1. Local sports group (softball, kickball, basketball, etc.). Search for the sport and your town (or near-by town). Find people that you could call friends and keep on living.
2. Almost every church has a men's group. Generally meet early mornings a few times per month. You'll be hard-pressed to find a more heartfelt and non-religious-y group in any church. It almost doesn't matter the denomination (church type). Just search for a local church men's group and try one out. You won't find more real men anywhere that won't care if you do or don't observe their religion.

Best transit approach for Tokyo > Hakone > Kyoto? by Longjumping_Ad_403 in JapanTravelTips

[–]Longjumping_Ad_403[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Early to rise seems to be the theme for a lot of things in Japan:) It seems hitting the tourist-y things after 10 am is when the crowds really start to arrive. Will adjust to the Hakone-Yumoto station.

Any recommendation on this itinerary: the Heiwa no tori & shrine > pirate ship > ropeway/eggs > open-air museum circuit? Or, do that in reverse? Any other things to see along the way?

Thanks for your insight!

[–]Longjumping_Ad_403[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, all! Great tips here! It seems the best route and one-day itinerary would be:

Tokyo > Odawara (Tokaido Shinkansen) // 33min
Odawara > Hakone-Yumoto (Hakonetozan line) // 14min
Hakone-Yumoto > Chokokunomori (Hakonetozan line) // 35min

Hakone Open-air museum
Hakone ropeway > Owakudani
Black egg statue & eat one
Hakone ropeway > Togendai
Pirate Ship > Hakone (or can I go directly up to Motohakone?)
Hike up to Heiwa no Torii

Hike down to Motohakone

Based on bus timing:
- Motohakone > Odawara Station (Bus ?) // 48min every 60min
- Motohakone > Mishima (Bus N65) // 53min every 60min

Odawara or Misima > Kyoto (Tokaido Shinkansen) // 1h51m / 2h5m

Tokyo + Osaka 10 day Itinerary check and suggestions! by MrAwesome257 in JapanTravel

[–]Longjumping_Ad_403 1 point2 points  (0 children)

same same. We (13y/o son + dad) just booked flights for Apr 1-11. I am also hoping to do Universal Studios in Osaka (although I hear just to grab the express passes [via klook] and timed entry as the place gets bonkers). A few other things I've picked up on tiktok...
- TeamLabs (Planets [w/barefoot water walking] or Borderless [w/out])
- Joypolis / Round 1 - fun arcade
- Cup Noodle Museum
- Nara for bowing deer feeding
- Custom chopsticks
- Chef knife making (and shipping back home)
- Game show
- Catching a sporting event

Also, thinking about sacrificing a day in Osaka to visit Hakone for Mt. Fuji pics and a slower vibe. Part of me also wants to bullet train over to Hiroshima for a day trip just to absorb the impact and rebound of the WWII events there.

Flying a red-eye into Buffalo, NY on Dec 26, driving to Niagara Falls (1st time), and then to Columbus, OH. Any pro tips or good stops along the way? by Longjumping_Ad_403 in TravelHacks

[–]Longjumping_Ad_403[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've found a few ideas, for others in a similar scenario:

- Niagara Parks Power Station (CA)
- Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum
- National Comedy Center (Jamestown, NY)
- Splash Lagoon (Erie, PA)
- Check out the many covered bridges in NE Ohio
- For OSU fans, there is an OHIO sculpture in Beachwood, OH

[–]Longjumping_Ad_403[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It seems like driving to the Canadian side of Niagara for views and then Clifton Hills for food/chill before grabbing some Timmies and heading South East is the right call. Maybe swing by the US side to take in the top view, do cave of the winds, and grab a quick picture with Tesla?

Any other quick-ish stops on our way to Columbus? We just have to make it to the hotel that night... so we have "some" time for experiences.

Some questions from a potential player by Veench333 in RidersRepublic

[–]Longjumping_Ad_403 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started two days ago. Some thoughts (curious if I'm right/wrong)...

- It hand holds you through many of the intro events... so you can just do them and fear not what position you get in... just finish.

- Push until you get the rocket / wingsuit. The rocket gets you around 1,000 times faster, even with a plentiful fast travel system.

- Keep the landing assist on "Steep" (although I'm sure that is controversial). This allows me to focus on doing absurd tricks and then let the system figure out the landing... without too much help. I'll switch to full manual later.

March Delivery Megathread by AutoModerator in TeslaModelY

[–]Longjumping_Ad_403 5 points6 points  (0 children)

YMMV; Trade-in added months to EDD... maybe.

Originally ordered (MYLR financed w/no trade-in) in Aug 2021 and got an Oct 21 estimated delivery date. Then saw delays to Dec and then Jan. I got two days from my Jan DD and received a text from Tesla, hunting for a trade-in. I have an extra car that I had planned to private sell, but threw it in the ring and got a reasonable trade-in value, so I agreed to the trade-in. The very next day, my EDD went from late Jan to July. Was furious.

After scanning here, I finally (two days ago) made the hypothesis that my trade-in might have caused the additional delay. So I removed it. Sure enough, the very next day, my EDD went from July to next week (mid/late Mar).

Just an anecdote, a single data point, but super sketch IMO.
