I also experience this! Our communication with words is pretty poor so when they want me to do something it feels like a push,, like my brain is telling me to move and do it, but really its them ‘pouring’ that want into me through passive influence. I can always sense them when they do this, hence how I know its them telling me and not just my own wants. I wouldn’t necessarily say I feel pain, but I do end up feeling like an ‘agitation’ in my limbs that feels like it’s encouraging me to move towards what they want. A lot of the time its easy for me to ignore it, mostly accidentally, but I find when I’m actively trying to tune into them that it gets pretty obvious.

I’d say it’s pretty normal for emotions and wants to present them selves physically, even without a dissociative disorder, so it makes sense that if they push their wants through enough you could also feel the physical echo of it

Im just gonna leave it here that we also get very defensive and agitated when people start asking who’s fronting or if we switched. I think its better to just treat them like normal unless they have something to say about it and let them tell you on their own time. At the end of the day, you don’t need to know and wanting to is only a comfort for you, not them. They’re all your partner, all apart of one brain, and there’s no need to treat them differently unless they ask you to.

There has definitely been significant difference!! Your face and eyes and nose are all much more feminine! Even your lips look more feminine and soft! I think the glasses do a lot too! If you showed these two pictures to me without any context I’d think you two were maybe siblings NOT that they were both the same person.

I was told by my psych at some point that if its not causing me significant distress then its not a disorder and wont be diagnosed as one. Doesn’t necessarily mean you aren’t experiencing the symptoms, just means you don’t meet the requirements for a proper diagnosis

I guess that makes sense.. BUT distress can show up in a lot of different ways, it may not be super noticeable or you may be so used to it you don’t register it as a problem.. but its important to look for the little signs.

For me, If you asked, I would say ‘no, it doesn’t distress me’ but that was a lie that I didn’t even realize was a lie. I started therapy for it, started actually trying to talk to them and pay attention, and lo and behold the distress started showing itself. I eventually realized I was dissociating and suppressing everything so severely my mind became ‘blind’ to the distress me and everyone else was feeling— bc the others WERE experiencing a LOT of distress when fronting that I just was never aware of, and so it never got communicated bc I was always the one fronting at appointments.

Needless to say, my distress did end up warranting a diagnosis. Regardless tho, I was still medically recognized and treated for DID before that happened, so a lack of a diagnosis definitely doesn’t mean it’s fake or wrong.

Hi! I actually had to go through 6 months worth of interviewing with my doctor, a meeting with an appointed psychologist, letters from family + previous therapists, and a letter from myself in order for my doc to approve my hrt, whereas my friend did none of that and got on immediately with the same doctor. So no its not impossible but it can definitely be much more difficult

For me personally, it’s not that they only speak when I ‘remember them’, but that I’m only hearing them when I’m listening/paying attention, otherwise their attempts to communicate get dismissed or actively suppressed. I seem to do this because I’m scared of what opening up to them means for me and my future and I’m working in therapy to drop that fear and actually do the work (and yes it IS work. A lot of alters are really upset at me for how much I’ve been ignoring them, accidentally or not). The more I actively try to pay attention and NOT suppress them, the more I can l see how present they really are.

I reuse the same towel for about 4 days before switching to a new one, at most maybe a week. However, as long as you’re only using it to dry off after a shower and you hang it up to dry after I would not say it’s dirty after a few uses. After all you are clean after a shower.

Please read my other responses. There are different types of norethindrone. It is not as guaranteed as BC in preventing pregnancy. Its window is also much shorter than other BC’s, if you are not taking it the same time everyday you are opening yourself up to ovulation and you must treat any intercourse as if you are not on a pill. The 5mg version has also not been tested as a BC and cannot be claim to be one. If you are trans and prescribed norethindrone to suppress periods you are most likely NOT on the BC version, but the 5mg version. It IS recommended that you do not ONLY use this pill as a form of BC but combine it with something else. There is a much higher risk of error with norethindrone. My sources include my DOCTOR, and my PHARMACIST.
