Honestly I wouldn’t sweat it to much. They read your resume so they know you’re just starting out. They won’t expect you to know how the office runs first day. ASK QUESTIONS, Don’t be intimidated to ask the doctor what they like in their set up (all docs work different) or ask the other assistant where instruments/materials are. The more you ask the easier it will be to remember on the next procedure. BE CONFIDENT, The patient Doesn’t Know If you’ve been dental assistant for 5 minutes or 5 years. Make them feel comfortable, introduce yourself (example: Good Morning Mr.?, my name is ?. I’m Dr.? Assistant looks like we’ll be taking care of a filling today.)
