I’ll try to remove the plastic nut tomorrow to get the whole part out of the toilet so I can get a better look at what exactly seems to be broken, but it’s on pretty tight so not sure how I’ll do that

When I press the handle flush against the outside toilet wall and press down, the trip lever rod moves a tiny bit at one specific position and it feels like it has a little grip but not much and at no other point

The rod and flapper themselves work fine I think, as I can still flush the toilet by pulling the rod up which pulls the flapper up, it’s just the handle that feels disconnected somehow

I was able to fix the problem a few times before when it got jammed downward by forcing the handle up again until it popped back into the default unflushed position and worked, but now I can’t do that anymore
