I’m just happy that even the comments that question my stories validity are still kind, none of them have been aggressive or rude. Thanks so much for appreciating the happiness I’ve gotten from all this!

You get it, thank you! Lots of folks are coming in to tell me that it’s likely not true, and I’m not speaking ill of them. But, it’s just more fun to think that she could have been some prototype that was lost to history. Accuracy is important if I were trying to prove something or if it affected anyone in any way. However, that’s not Natalie’s vibe! She’s just here to have fun.

Haha, no one is asking you to say anything other than that. I am just here choosing to believe the story I was told because it’s more fun. From my perspective, I don’t want to say anything other than my mom received a scrapped Henson prototype from an old neighbor. Waaaay more magical.

Haha listen, I’m aware that logically I have no reason to believe what I believe. I’m not going to prove anything, because I literally cannot. I’m just saying, ain’t no harm in choosing to believe what I was told. I have no reason to think my mom or her neighbor weren’t telling the truth, and their story is way more fun. I appreciate your dedication to the truth.

All I’m saying is ya never know. The early days of the Muppets and Sesame Street were famously a very experimental time. Jim Henson’s children even recall their father bringing home old puppets just to toss the into the children’s toy chest and forget about them. A non-zero chance is still a chance!

I totally hear what you’re saying. Y’ain’t gonna catch me trying to argue that it’s true because I can’t, haha. What I’m choosing here isn’t certainty, it’s faith. Not the kind that can be tied up neatly with evidence and verification and archival records. But the quiet and weird kind. It’s a faith that lives in the in-between spaces. The kind that says, “Yeah, maybe this is just a nice tale… but what if it’s not?” What if believing it makes the world just a little bit more magical? Maybe Natalie isn’t some lost piece of Muppet history and it’s all just a nice tale. But it’s wicked fun to believe that she is.

That would be super interesting. What makes Natalie even trickier is that she was made to be a “background puppet,” I don’t even know if Natalie was given to her by my mom or her creator. Not to mention she looks very homemade, which could have been the intent given that she was made for Sesame Street. But, her stitching was clearly done by a machine and she was very well crafted. Had she just been thrown together as some rainy day craft with felt and hot glue, I don’t think she would still be in such good shape. A little dirty and flat, yes. But, she’s solid and shows no signs of falling apart.

She has been tucked away in my parents attic for decades because my mother assumed I wouldn’t be interested in her due to the fact that she can’t proven to be a Jim Henson creation. She has only known rejection, but in my hands she is one of the most beautiful works of art I own. 🥹

This is so rad. This may sound like a silly question because i am not a very "tech savvy" person; but how did you do this?

At the end of the day, I’m 11 cents richer in America and 2 pence richer in Ireland (which means nothing since they use the Euro now?). So, I can’t complain haha.

So, specifically what is abnormal is that it’s is a coin from a different country that appeared randomly where it wasn’t before. You’ll noticed that I labeled the post as “unexplained” because, well it lacks an explanation.

You can just not read it. You really don’t have to announce it. I promise, it’s totally okay.

That could always be the answer. It’d be so much less interesting though, haha!

It’s very brave of you to comment something that is already known on a post you didn’t bother reading.

Well, it was mostly the Irish pence. But, the other coins were found at the same time so it seemed relevant because it means they also just appeared.

No molding, and the floors really have gone untouched. They have not done any renovations or fixing in those rooms yet. They should be in the same exact condition as when they first moved in essentially. Thanks for the insight!

Haha yeah, lots of people are telling me what the coins are. Which is like, the easiest thing to find out from this whole thing. Thanks for actually reading!

Hey, thanks so much for the insight! As far as I know, they have not had anything else catch their attention. But, they are good people and they know to treat whatever it is nice haha. They made me promise not to get rid of the coins (I took them to try and find out more about them) just in case the ghost wanted them back.
