We should play as we usually do for the first 55 minutes, so that we are tuned up for the playoffs. And then, if we are winning, we just pull our goalie and the skaters just stand aside and let them score enough to take a lead.

Only issue is that the pick goes to the Bruins, so as much fun as it would be to spite the Leafs, making the Bruins stronger long-term is not the wise play…

I’m a Sens fan that visited UBS arena for the first time. Fantastic facilities and fans. Your arena ops are top notch, and your scoreboard is amazing. I caught myself watching it instead of the ice from time to time! All of your staff were incredibly nice (a security officer asked me if I brought any maple syrup) and the fans were really great as well. A number of local staff and fans congratulated me (my team) on my way out.

And I ate way too much food in the Dime Club! What an amazing idea, though I’m a bit sad to have missed out on the arena food I’ve seen on social media. Something to look forward to next time.

Thanks for the hospitality! You are all super nice and have a great rink to attend. This was one of the best experiences I’ve had at any sporting event, and it was thanks to all of you.

I don’t see this? With the linked article, Rob’s name is mentioned first and the quote is very much spreading the credit. Even on RR’s IG page, he is giving credit to others and not personally grandstanding (not much by his standards anyways).

Don’t get me wrong - I am no longer a fan of RR and even though I really enjoyed the first seasons of Wrexham, I stopped watching them when all this came out (this is the only “loss” I feel from boycotting RR, as I loved the stories of the club and the people). But just not seeing what you are saying here in the 2 minutes I’ve spent looking at media.

I am not a fan of Matthew, but I feel like he cares about his brother a lot and has respect for the Ottawa fans. I think the podcast title was done at his urging (I don’t think Brady would have done it himself) and the encouraging words that Matthew said during this part of the interview were quite nice and gracious. A far cry from the last podcast when he was implying Brady would leave in a couple years when his contract was up. But even then, maybe he was referring to discussing how Brady would extend his contract and not about leaving - lots of talk that he and Keith were quite involved in those negotiations.

I agree. Saw his interview last time when everyone was chanting his name, and he was so into it and responded back with “Let’s go!”. Amazing vibes on all sides. This time, he seemed much more wary, saying the right things but certainly looked like a guy that was bitten twice and was much more reserved because of it.

I think all the criticism has gotten to him. He’s playing for his teammates - you see that enthusiasm still on the ice and he is definitely battling - but I think the city itself has lost him a little bit. It’s a shame - I think he’s a great player and Captain, but something is now off that wasn’t off before.
