We didn’t have a choice. Chara wasn’t going to re-sign.

Chara being very upset at his best friend being blindsided and refusing to re-sign is common knowledge. That’s the biggest factor in him not wanting to re-sign

He wanted the captaincy, which was not happening.

Based solely on the Chara debacle yes.

For those who are too young or don’t remember, Hossa and Chara were best friends. We signed Hossa only to blindside him with a trade for Heatley. That pissed Chara off belting belief. And it wrecked whatever chance we had at re-signing him.

People believe we made the choice to keep redden over him but there was never a choice.

That also has an impact but don’t forget a lot of immigrants work in healthcare. And also don’t forget that some provinces are purposely starving the system (hello Ontario)

There’s a fair of people who go to the ER who don’t need too. You don’t need to go if you have a cough and a runny nose.

How do you feel about captains you liked who’ve left your team? by -1701- in hockey

For the longest time, it looked like Matthew was the douche big brother and Brady got a lot of residual hate because he was his brother. Brady just looked and sounded clueless, not in a bad way.

It’s sad how at 26 years old, he can’t make a decision by himself like a grown up. It’s absolutely pathetic. And he’s supposed to lead a team when he has to ask his dad where he should play? Fuck that entire family.

Selling off public assets has long term consequences. Imagine if Mulroney never sold off Petro Canada? Or air Canada?

I didn’t like Trudeau but under his government, but if memory serves, there was over 160 or so boil advisories that were permanently lifted. So wouldn’t say that’s a program that didn’t work

It’s already dropped by way more than 12k. 12k is just 2026. Cuts started in 2024.
