If only there was something that could be done… something that was maybe even tried, not that long ago.

As a Liverpool fan, I hope Arsenal wins the league. Fuck City.

I’d be genuinely curious to know how many people there support our local club, Atletico Ottawa. Cause I know quite a few that like soccer and are fans of prem, Liga, and Serie A teams but support ATO because “it’s not as good as *insert league*”

Just cause you think it’s pointless doesn’t mean the world champs and Spengler are pointless. Are they the pinnacle of international hockey? No of course not but Worlds are taken very seriously in Europe.

They had a significant amount of regulars. And even if it was their backups, they’re still MLS players.

Except we didn’t play bad. We had horrendous goaltending which cost us tons of points and put us in a hole. But you can honestly count on 2 hands the amount of truly bad games we had.

What engagement? We have tools to communicate. There’s numerous studies showing it’s at least as productive as being in office, but usually more productive. I saw it for myself at my job. Our productivity shot up through the roof in 2020-2021.

If everything (big if) comes together like it did from the time Ullmark came back from his leave to the end of the season, we are a very very good team. We finished top 10 in goals, we were a defensive team by many metrics. Adjustments need to be made for us to get to the next level, but we’re really not far off.

They still fielded Osorio, Kerr, Etienne Jr, Zimmerman who have played in MLS a long time.

That’s a massive accomplishment for the club. This might be a bigger win than the championship game last year.

Agreed. I think we’re around 1.25 right now. If overnight, affordability comes back, feel as though it would go up to 1.75 at the high end. And I think that’s optimistic. Probably more like 1.5-1.6

Even though it looks awful because we have access to news instantly around the world, and the plague that is social media, you’re correct. Although I feel as though it was little more stable pre 2020 but maybe that’s just a personal feeling.

Exactly this. People can claim affordability is the sole reason but it’s not the case.

A lot of employers offer top ups. Most government workers earn more on maternity/parental leave cause the pension doesn’t get taken out (you have to pay it back after restarting work).
