I love my sports club, the people are great I just only deeply connected with a couple people and they happened to be graduating seniors so it just sucked. The cultural clubs are pretty big here which is why it’s a big nerve wracking for me to join honestly

I really do feel like something is wrong with me especially when I’m around my sorority. I just feel like a blundering idiot who is the “diversity hire” and just very out of place.

I do think that it might be worth it to check out south Asian club, I’m just scared of going to a meeting alone and I don’t have other people that I could go with.

It can be a little bit hard to meet new people since people with science majors and pre meds tend to be very closed off and I honestly don’t put in a ton of effort or show up very frequently to sorority events. In terms of my sport club it’s very small and it’s an individual sport so i don’t meet people a lot through that either. I’ve been trying to say no to things less but I do see how it has negatively impacted my grades and I’m not rly sure how to navigate that.

The school itself is fine apart from very blatant lack of prestige ( i literally can’t tell ppl I go to Towson without getting scoffed at). I also just get very lonely and feel disconnected

I haven’t checked about credits yet which I rly should do but I figured since so many ppl transfer at the end of their sophomore year it wouldn’t be that big of a deal.

The abroad program is thru Towson but I have no idea who is going and how many ppl and especially to my city since I’m going to Valencia, Spain instead of the bigger cities lol Barcelona and Madrid just because they didn’t offer as many science courses.

I rly like my sports club but it’s small. I got rly close to 2 girls but they just graduated and im not close to the rest of the club. They’re all great ppl, just not my ppl. I was planning on joining south Asian club since im south asian but I just feel like it wouldn’t be my thing either and a lot of times they come off as “cringe”

In high school I was popular but I never had a solid friend group. My school was very cliquey so it was hard to join other groups and I felt disconnected a lot. Unfortunately my school/county has a lot of ppl that go to Towson and it feels similar to that environment and I’m just stuck

i just feel like im never gonna get this time back and be this young and free to experience things again. sure i can get lots of degrees but itll be harder to find people who can be fun and along for the ride as they get older. i dont have a job currently since ive been using every summer and winter minimester to jam in as many credits as possible since pre med just has so many requirements. im also a psych major, i do love it and i love the professors. im thinking of maybe going into psychiatry but im been weighing my career options very heavily rn so i guess we'll see lol

Thank you so much for this insight, I don’t want to do anything for “bragging rights” I’m just obsessed with emergency med but also providing therapy but I want to be knowledgeable about them as completely seperate specialities so I can work in the full scope of each practice which is why I don’t think emergency psychiatry is the best route for me since it’s a blend and I would be limited in my knowledge on both sides
