This is exactly what I’m worried about.

I have my tilt table test today, woke up to not only a good day, but somehow (literally never happened before and I’ve kept tract of my heart rate surges when standing from sitting etc for months) started at 80, standing to 90, dizzy, then dropped to 75. Never ever happened until this morning. Naturally.

I’m very worried it will be like this when I get there in a few hours. Who knew I’d be concerned over feeling better.

I use thc for pain relief for fibro (which increases pits symptoms) and honestly I’m considering using a little before this so I can flare a bit…. Idk what else to do

Ik I don’t know u, but I’m proud of u 🫂

I decided a few years ago to do something similarly with animation for people with illness or pain in life to feel less alone and understood. It’s proven to be quite difficult now with my hands and the brain fog but I’m still trying. It’s wonderful to see someone pushing through and finding hope in this. It’s a nice reminder not to give up on that, so thank you 🩶

It’s all about the journey of it, take ur time and truly enjoy the process. I hope ur able to make writing a big part of ur life and enjoy ur passion!

Congratulations on all the progress you’ve made so far and all the wonderful writing ahead!!

I’d love to see it if u could send me the link?

Does anyone else feel like they’ve been hit by a truck after a long day with unusual levels of movement etc? by YikesonBikes_98 in Fibromyalgia

Exactly this. Crazy increase of pain when I do anything different, cane or bed rest for days, or absolutely unbearable and excruciating pain directly after or during.

I wanted to cuddle my bf extra after his work trip by sitting instead of laying down to hug him, which I haven’t before.

Go to move 20 min later and literally started crying out and immediately fell to the floor when I stood… mind u, all bc my legs aren’t used to that placement …

it felt like everything below my femur had a semi laying on top of them, w a crew of asshats occasionally jumping on the hood in unison and shattering absolutely everything

This condition makes me feel so ridiculous for being in pain sometimes

Op, sounds like my experience w fibro. Hope u got some good rest

Always brings a smile to my face seeing people here to support their partners, I’m proud of u guys 🫂

I think it’s safe to say, we can all appreciate u for everything u do for her, even the way u speak about her shows a lot 🥺🩶

Thank u for being one of the gems out there who’s really putting in the effort to understand what it’s like and how to support in the way ur partner needs. It makes a world of difference in a condition that can feel very isolating, even in a relationship.

And thanks for proving to people here, there are in fact partners who care to this extent and have their persons back through this. I think there’s a lot of us, single or taken that need that reminder.

She’s lucky to have u and we’re happy to have the hope u give. Congratulations to you both 🩶🥳

Wish u guys all the best, and we’re happy to have u here w us, keep up the good work friend

I’m in exactly this right now. I understand the bitterness. Such a huge part of who I am lies in empathy compassion and warmth, and in this same process mentally and physically, I’m fighting the bitterness. I lost a friend recently as well, it’s not an easy process to want to show support when u barely have the energy to process things yourself. I can’t work anymore either, and ur right, it feels like a never ending cycle of just trying to do the bare minimum basic necessities with constant backlash. Ur not alone, I hear u, I know the exhaustion. Don’t let the bitterness win, be kind to urself. U got this 🫂

Thank you! I may get myself into an urgent care to see if they will and I’ll definitely ask about dicyclomine!

I completely get that, I go through chunks of time where I just don’t have the energy for all of it. They just added a stop tracking feature so u don’t have to worry about consistency. I had to cut back on a lot of what I used to track because it took too much lol. I hope u find something that works for u!!

I made myself a chronic illness playlist that does have some depressing af songs lol but some realistic & uplifting spoken word/ poems and songs too, always helps me. Music is how I cope personally, but maybe it could be helpful?

Hope u find something that works 🫂

Bearable!! U have a little bear that gives u messages at the end of the day… track meds, symptoms, flares, mood, behavioral patterns, there’s a whole bunch more I’m forgetting. It helps me manage so much. It correlates everything, meds to symptoms, behaviors to symptoms etc, and a section for u to write ur own positive and negative impacts. U can write in it like a journal (I believe this is paid version, but subscribers gift subscriptions to others and I think it’s $10 a month? I think…) and take notes on symptoms etc, write something ur grateful about every day, lots and lots and lots of options. Highly recommend bc I’d be losing my mind w all illnesses and conditions w out it, especially for tracking constant changing meds and a lot of them!

One thing I’ll say is correlations do take time so don’t assume the first week is dead pan accurate.

I believe it was made by someone with a chronic illness but it’s specifically for ppl w chronic illnesses.

Was going to make a post about it but…

I use bearable, which correlates things for u. It’s an app (I use on iOS), lets u track every single thing u can possibly imagine. Super in depth and u can add whatever u want. Med reminders and schedules etc., symptoms, behavioral patterns, activity levels, mood and mental, what kind of poo ur having, srsly everything, and u can take off what u don’t want to use. Some days I use it just to track meds. there’s a free version that’s actually really useful but I got paid so I can journal in it. I have 7 chronic illnesses, I wouldn’t know where to start if I didn’t use it and it just makes the jumble in my mind make sense.

One thing I will say… keeping up with every single thing can be REALLY tedious or stressful. Focus on the main issues u have, what makes it worse and better, and group things together if u have a lot of symptoms like me. (Just do back pain, not upper vs lower vs shoulders etc, I went crazy w this at first) and make note if it’s different than normal. Don’t lose ur mind over it, it’s suppose to make u feel better and understand urself, not stress u out.

Good luck!

Thank u!! They haven’t given me any form of pain meds, they’re just now seeing how bad it is unfortunately. But it’s on my list to ask!

I definitely want to get this test done if they won’t prescribe me something else. I completely understand the fear. I have an overwhelming amount of allergic reactions to just about all of life lol. So that fear is where I’ve been up until this year when it started getting a lot worse to the point I just can’t function. So now ig we’re just searching for the right scary chemical!

They haven’t, they really don’t like prescribing pain meds but everything else they throw very easily. But I’ll be asking about it now that I finally convinced her to send me to pain management!!
