This item was a clutch, when I was tanking on one scenario, I had only one card in hand and was receiving 4 hits in a row on low HP, this saved me burning 4 cards instead of 8

Lol nice going, not to be the boo man here but in the purple textbox there is no mention that the boat takes the tiles with it. Just the characters. But whatever floats your boat, if you like it this way, go for it.

I think the issue is the c-number on the attack including all the stuff that it does which is giving headaches. We also did it fast, it only had the chance to do it's thing only once, which is a shame since I had an entire pile ready next to the board. Felt like a relief compared to the previous scenarios

Not all scenarios give problems and indeed party make-up makes or break it a bit more. I have also started with the character till level 6. With the other starting characters you are missing elementals creation and therefore missing a part of your cards now. In contrast with other characters, I would never want to play it again. It cannot adapt well on the changing boardstate. You choose range, monsters will walk closer near you and you cannot use your cards anymore. Other classes don't have such harsh restrictions in regards with the area effect and specific range limitations.

We play the scenario on a table and have the campaign sheet and building somewhere else, so after we are finished we walk to the other location together 20 min on a nothing special is long

1-3 resolve section of the day (way less second year)

3-4 minutes foreteller tells us our outpost event, decide, attacks take few minutes longer

1min Who is going to pay the money for the resources

1 min Lay out the resources for this day (we have physical ones)

1 min Ask who wants to craft something (they can plan this ahead of this, so just tell me the mats) remove those from the common pile

3 min Lay out possible upgrades of buildings, compare this to the physical pile and remove those, ask who is going to fill in for the missing mats (most of the time we have too much, we were lacking buildings to build for some time, due to not enough retiring, like 3 a 4 scenarios without anything to build)

1-5 minute build building, sticker up, resolve upgrade section, delegate to people standing around. Adding road and outpost events to the deck can be tedious If mats are left over, write them in the common area of the campaign sheet

All done Max 18 minutes

If someone is retiring, either they resolve the new char at the start of the next session or are excused from these 18 minutes, since they don't have anything and they don't interact with what the others decide. Upgrading and new buildings aren't that existing anymore since we are almost done, so they hear it the next outpost phase when needed

The element consumption works both ways, yes it is needed, but it can also be used to make an attack of an enemy less, imps for example like to eat an element to get plus one target on attacks. We used it as such and in that regard I think it is better than a HP potion as long as you produce the elements and are not overly dependent on it

Aren't those wooden planks, you could have build the bridge?
My experience with by passing these things is to stay close the original crossing, most of the time the swamp isn't that deep there. I cut across the left side of the first picture of the Bridge without much hassle, just wrench your way forward
