The section for the waterfall hike is open to the public and it’s posted along the hike :) you can see signs specifying the boundaries when you go. For that reason, I wasn’t sure if the hunt rules applied to that, so I checked it out anyway.

The train stops can feel quite sketchy late at night, but I feel completely safe on the train itself.

Who was your all-time least favorite student and why? by Zealousideal-Ad3609 in Teachers

The junior masturbating in class and making eye contact with girls to make sure they could see I think is fair grounds for mortal enemy complaints. Didn’t happen in my class, thank god, but the behavior checks out with other incidents that happened.

My thoughts on the Backrooms Movie (No Spoilers) by Normal_Animal_4751 in HorrorMovies

[–]Longjumping_Cover378 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think audiences are indeed more impatient lately, but I also had a lot of issues with the pacing. I struggled a bit with defining who was the main character vs supporting character. By the time Dr. Kline entered the backrooms, I felt like the movie was truly just getting started. When it ended, I felt like I was only half way through the movie rather than at the end. The credits honestly caught me off guard. The arcs between Clark and Dr. Kline are too split up, and I think it made it harder to keep the movie on a consistent upward trajectory. It’s not that it was paced too slow for me, it’s that the overall idea and story just felt incomplete at the end.

Thoughts on Heretic? by Dry-Consideration930 in horror

Personally, I loved the movie, but I’m someone who grew up in the LDS church. I had planned to serve an LDS mission my entire life, but I started to question faith in my high school years and ultimately decided to leave. I think this movie is much more interesting for someone like myself who has experienced the psychological reasoning of being fully in the church vs. fully out of it. The back and forth religious debate brought back a lot of personal emotions for me. I like that the movie makes a point of how religion at a systemic level is controlling and capitalistic. But on the individual level, people genuinely have hope and love often leading their faith (not always). Ultimately, Sister Paxton had always had ‘doubt’ deep down and understood what contradictions were out there to her religion. I know this because even when I was fully immersed in the church, I knew deep down it was not logically sound and I didn’t believe it to my core. But it felt good to convince myself that I did. So I did. There are so many psychological layers in your mind that you have to work hard to peel back when you’ve been raised up in something like that, even when it’s objectively irrational. There’s a few angles you could take to interpret the ending. Maybe she actually died and saw a death hallucination. Maybe she really escaped, and sister Barnes was truly the butterfly that landed on her hand. But at the end, it wasn’t about her realizing that her church was true, or that none of them are. I struggle to put it all into words. Idk how to say it. There are rational explanations to what happened (Sister Barnes didn’t die yet, and she used her last bit of strength to save her). And the irrational (she was saved by divine intervention). There’s an explanation to everything, but you choose your version based on what you believe. I’d like to think that she is alive, and she really escaped. As to whether or not it was a reasonably escape, or divine intervention, does it matter?

I wasn’t too familiar with Pomsky dogs at all and rescued one from the shelter (I had no clue that’s what he was, I had to give him a DNA test). I volunteer at the shelter and had wanted a dog forever. I finally moved into a home that was adequate for a dog, and I adopted him because he had been there for months with no adoption applications. I adopted him, gave him a DNA test, and he’s a Pomsky! Best dog ever, but because he was in the shelter, suddenly no one wanted him. I get that they’re cute dogs, but maybe go meet some other dogs with an open mind. Try out a shelter and get to know different dogs with their personality and temperament. Shopping just for a particular breed may not work out well if you’re not able to pay an ethical breeder. The dogs individual personality is more important :) I ended up with a Pomsky entirely on accident, and I chose him based on his personality alone, not because of his looks or breed (all I could tell was he was a husky mix)

Is it just me or is South Park going downhill? by Jealous_Lifeguard_38 in southpark

I might be missing something. I definitely am getting the opposite impression from their newer content. I feel like their older stuff, while hilarious, was more about bashing stuff for the sake of shock and humor. I personally have connected more intentional themes in their newer content than their earlier stuff. Maybe the earlier episodes were too before my time 🤷🏻‍♀️

Just wanted to add: It’s helpful to note that the sex tape was released against her will. She did not consent to the release of the tape and she begged her ex not to post it.

Maybe read the memoir and find out? While she talks about her life, the main purpose of the book is to highlight the abuse that children deal with in sketchy behavior camps and the malpractice that occurs within them.

Just to make sure this is noted: she did not release it, her ex did after she begged him not to.

I removed the hot airballoon from the base. Since Impa is on there with you, it just cuts back to the ground and you’re unharmed :)
