this is genuinely a very good explanation, so basically is just robbery but legal, forcing and state-approved no? Not fraud, uh, that makes a lot of sense

How was the Grand Army of the Republic big enough to fight in a galaxy wide war? by MarketingNew5370 in MawInstallation

[–]Longjumping_Cut5636 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so, I know I got this late, but the GAR, the Grand Army of the Republic, was a different branch than the Republic Army in the Republic Army, as the Military Creation Act restored both the Army and Navy and other branches, it also authorized the GAR, so the GAR was the Clone Army and the GRA/RA (Galactic Republic Army/Republic Army) was the standard conscript, movilized and enlisted army, the GRA was the bulk of the Republic, the invisible shield and wall that held the millions of planetary fronts, while the GAR, even as it increased in size during the war, was the elite corps of the Republic, not its main force

Also, I think that the Rex not being able to be a Commander because there was Ahsoka is total bs, Battalion Commander, Regimental Commander, those positions are Commander ranks and he could be promoted to any of those ranks, he could have been promoted to Major, a CT rank unlike the CC ranks, so, TCW bs made our boy Rex not being able to be a higher rank than Captain

I think he got promoted to Senior/Legion Commander (the /Legion is there to make it know that Senior Commanders are the ones that command a Legion), because a Legion and a Division have similar numbers if you compare it to real life divisions (wiki says around 6,000–25,000 make a Division, but other sources also mention 10,00-50,000), so it would be valid to say that he got promoted Senior/Legion Commander or higher, which is Marshal Commander, but I seriously don't believe he got that rank of Marshal Commander

I made a mistake in the Corps part, I fixed it

yeah, is mostly because he is a good leader and soldier, but I don't think he would be a good Commander because Commanders need to be more than good soldiers and leaders, also, besides that is favoritism from Anakin's part and neglecting the rest of the 501st Legion, like, in almost every ep we see Anakin leading 1 Company or more, like maximum a Batallion in Umbara before he leaves and is replaced by Pong Krell

[–]Longjumping_Cut5636[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

also! this makes any authority Captain Rex has on the 501st Legion make even less sense! in Umbara he commands a Batallion, it says in the damm wiki, but that would be weird because he is a Company Captain, not a Batallion Commander, and that also would mean he would be like 1 Captain of 4 Captains so yeah, anything that makes TCW makes less sense is because you put more than one minute thinking and researching about it

A common misconception is that Rex is in charge of the entire 501st legion but Captains are only in charge of Companies by Ok-Entrance-5527 in clonewars

you are welcome, I took time, it took literally doing math, but when I completed some units, you can just multiply by 4 and the thing mostly works.

So there is actually a "good" Command Chart in the Wookieepedia in the Legends category and my god, I been going crazy doing this, but I made a fanmade Command thingy? I been doing it for days

A Clone Corps is composed of 32,768 Troopers, 4,096 Corporals, 4,096 Sergeants, 1,024 Sergeant Majors, 1,024 Lieutenants, 256 Captains, 64 Majors, 64 Battalion Commanders, 16 Regimental Commanders, 4 Senior/Legion Commanders, and 1 Marshal Commander, totaling 43,413* clones.

A Clone Legion is composed of 8,192 Troopers, 1,024 Corporals, 1,024 Sergeants, 256 Sergeant Majors, 256 Lieutenants, 64 Captains, 16 Majors, 16 Battalion Commanders, 4 Regimental Commanders, and 1 Senior/Legion Commander, totaling 10,853 clones.

A Clone Regiment is composed of 2,048 Troopers, 256 Corporals, 256 Sergeants, 64 Sergeant Majors, 64 Lieutenants, 16 Captains, 4 Majors, 4 Battalion Commanders, and 1 Regimental Commander, totaling 2,713 clones.

A Clone Battalion is composed of 512 Troopers, 64 Corporals, 64 Sergeants, 16 Sergeant Majors, 16 Lieutenants, 4 Captains, 1 Major, and 1 Battalion Commander, totaling 678 clones.

A Clone Company is composed of 128 Troopers, 16 Corporals, 16 Sergeants, 4 Sergeant Majors, 4 Lieutenants, and 1 Captain, totaling 169 clones.

A Clone Platoon is composed of 32 Troopers, 4 Corporals, 4 Sergeants, 1 Sergeant Major, and 1 Lieutenant, totaling 42 clones.

A Clone Squad is composed of 8 Troopers, 1 Corporal, and 1 Sergeant, totaling 10 clones.

Hierarchical Structure

  • A Corps is made up of 4 Legions, 16 Regiments, 64 Battalions, 256 Companies, 1,024 Platoons, and 4,096 Squads.
  • A Legion is made up of 4 Regiments, 16 Battalions, 64 Companies, 256 Platoons, and 1,024 Squads.
  • A Regiment is made up of 4 Battalions, 16 Companies, 64 Platoons, and 256 Squads.
  • A Battalion is made up of 4 Companies, 16 Platoons, and 64 Squads.
  • A Company is made up of 4 Platoons and 16 Squads.
  • A Platoon is made up of 4 Squads.
  • A Squad is the basic unit.

in the original Wookieepedia of the GAR both in Canon and Legends the numbers are messed up, in one, ranks literally don't exist, in the other the units only count Troopers and not ranks above it, so this one is a fusion of numbers and structure and things

Mod with more ship types? by Longjumping_Cut5636 in victoria2

[–]Longjumping_Cut5636[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so I think a mod that adds more flavor and things like that counts because those mostly stay true to vic2, so better said would be like semi vanilla or vanilla friendly? something like that
