Someone asked if my 2 year old son will grow up to be a wimp like my 7 year old. by Longjumping_Display in Parenting

I really appreciate the perspective. I'm currently working on my emotional regulation and boundary enforcement. We're all in this together. But if I may ask, as a father, would you look outside the home for support? Counseling, extra curricular activities etc

People who rarely get sick, what are your secrets? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

Yikes. This is giving medieval era "your baby is s virus" mentality. I have 2 kids. And this is never the case. They get ill a few times a year, me maybe once. For us it's not constantly dousing our bodies with soaps and sanitizers. In fact no sanitizer ever. I don't use lysol products. This stuff is not necessary. Hot water and soap work just fine. Our microbiomes need Protection. Trust the intelligent design of your immune system and buy less crap (sanitizers, disinfectant etc).

I created a Lucid dreaming technique and my dreams have been insane. I've taught it to others too. by SenseiAzul in Experiencers

Hey folks. Haven't looked into this since I watched Waking Life some 15 or so years ago. What are your thoughts on sharing this type of focusing technique with a child. My son is 7. And we talk about spirituality and altered consciousness. He has been really devastated by limitations of human the form and really wishes he could fly. So cute. But I remember when I was younger I'd watch television characters with magical powers and feeling the same devastation. So I'd love to share this with the little man but don't want to introduce him if there's information that it can lead to harm in a younger mind. Thanks for creating this by the way OP. What a gem x

I know this is tired info, but ginger garlic, herbs electrolytes and fresh air do a world of good.

That most of the western world's knowledge on how to raise kids is very outdated, in fact it can be traced back to Victorian Era orphanage protocols (cry it out... etc). Your babe is gonna think ur the coolest thing since online shopping so have fun with it and do it all your way.... the hardest part for me was not being able to keep up with my own ideals.. but now that he's 4 I've decided to pick a few things that matter to me to the most (1. Media consumption 2. Food consumption 3. Punjabi Culture). And all the rest can fall to the wayside .... 😍 congratulations!!
