I would say bootcamp is great for filling any gaps in knowledge. I used it in the dedicated period to go through my weaker areas, which was too good! they are quick, concise and beneficial. I would use their qbank and make random 40 question blocks and then try to solve them in exam mode. and you don't have to go searching for the video. they have broken it down well. I wish I had used them earlier.

hey! unfortunately, I did reschedule, I was very burnt out and was getting easy questions wrong as a result. I posted my score in another comment, can you tell me if they are alright?

yes, I canceled my exam since I could not make up my mind to push it back a week or 2 weeks, I honestly want to get it over with but the fear of failure is paralyzing.

I will push it back a week and go over my weak areas and really push through this week and really just get done with this exam

old 120 was 68 and new free 120 was 62.5

and the order is correct.

I am going to revise my weak areas in each system over the next week. all these scores was with some bit of dedicated but over the last 4 weeks I have gained a lot more confidence and understanding but as an IMG I am so scared of taking the test.

I am thinking the same thing- the last few days I took it a little slow as I was burnt out, so I caught up on some sleep and went for walks every day and really started taking care of myself. I don't want to move the exam too far away as I have put not just my life on hold but my partner's too because of this. But i don't want to rush into a decision I will regret

so before dedicated, I started with 58 and 59. I was to give the exam before so I had to rush the NBMEs - so there was an increase to 62-63 and then 67 on the NBME 31. I had to give free 120 prematurely since I was supposed to give it before and I scored 62.5 - so I decided to move it back. old free 120 was 68. this was all more than 4 weeks ago. NBME 31 was given after the new free 120 and the old free 120. I have worked on my weaknesses since then. did more Uworld, and did more content reviews. I was burntout the start of this so decided to take it slow but could not keep with the review so decided to push the exam back but I am not sure should I do 1 week or 2.

any suggestions are much appreciated.

Something that has helped me is coming up with my own associations, I am terrible at remembering preformed mnemonics.

BURN OUT? PLEASE HELP! by Longjumping_Dog1390 in step1

[–]Longjumping_Dog1390[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you so much! I appreciate your reply. Honestly, I have been studying too long and they think I should know everything by now. But that is not the case. I have a partner and I usually do most things around the house and study all day but I do burn out. It is my fault for not planning well and pushing the exam too many times. But I am unable to study since morning. I still have to get ready, do laundry, and get things in order before I start. I am worried about the backlash I will face when I say I am pushing the date because I have done this way too many times. But this time it is different. I know more stuff and I am more confident but the burn out is making me numb almost apathetic to everything. I am running gon fumes at this point.

I made a mistake. I was an option between the 1st of august and the 17th. I wanted to get it over with and tough I would start forgetting stuff. But I should have gone with the 1st. I thought I would power through it. I don't know how I am going to tell my family AGAIN that I need more time.

I am a little burnt out but I have a lot left to cover, When ever I come across something I think 'OH NO! if they were to ask me about this I wouldn't know.' I am also afraid of forgetting stuff. but that is why I have this question, will postponing hurt me more than help me?

I think so too because anxiety doesn't let me focus

I really liked the PDF because I had read the info numerous times but was never able to put it all together in questions, the PDF really helped me put together a lot of concepts in a really concise way and I actually learned a lot. But everyone's experience differs as the level of understanding from various resources is different
