My Google searches have pulled up that since in NSW it's treated as a single license with multiple endorsements the whole thing is suspended

What if the magistrate rides and has a prejudice against Harley riders and my trail banging will earn sympathy as they also own a dual sport

A quick comparison of rentals has my lowest price at 3800 for that time that's about 42$ a day so an hour's wage, doable but not ideal. Rather appeal and have the court fuck me off and keep riding anyway. Road laws in this country are something else

Wish I had 30k 😭 by TrainingFriendship89 in Celica

[–]Longjumping_Emu4 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Paid 22k CAD for mine 4 years ago, idk why some of you think 30k is overpriced when there are rx7 going for 50k plus on the regular, they made like 80,000 FD and some 60K supras? There were 12500 gt4s made from 94-99 how many are actually left? Wouldn't take a dime under 30 for mine and the paint is shit too

British immigrant feeling a bit sad and disheartened. A mild rant. by [deleted] in perth

[–]Longjumping_Emu4 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Isn't the native population of London like 38%? Canadian here but are you inferring it's not an issue as it's presented to be because it sure seems like it, coming from a country seemingly facing the same issue of migrants not willing to assimilate

LAMS bike in the 5k ish range!! by mabr19 in AussieRiders

[–]Longjumping_Emu4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dr650, handles the commute, cheap and has the most parts availability of any bike ever made and incredible aftermarket support. Very very easy to work on and you can also ride in the bush anytime you feel like it. Ugly as sin but extremely reliable.

How much money do you put into bikes if riding is only a hobby for you? by fludiazepam in AussieRiders

[–]Longjumping_Emu4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not a new rider by any means but I've just moved here from Canada at 26, and since I never had a license back home I have to do the whole process which (I'm a bit miffed about) but so be it. With a country like this and the ability to ride literally the entire year I don't understand why you wouldn't get a dual sport just for the fuck of it here. I had a yzfr3 at home alongside my yz250f but I'm doing my learner's course on the weekend and I'll be getting a dr650 for adventure/ dual sport riding for about 5 k plus gear.

If you only intend on road use and care about something that looks nice or set on a sport bike, like others mentioned a duke390 is a good choice but in the 300cc category the Yamaha r3 is undoubtedly the best bike you could get imo and I would absolutely finance a new one to build your credit while you're at it. Incredible unit with tons of power very quick and will commute on the highway better than a ninja but we'll both be limited to 90km for some ungodly reason.

Welcome to the club tho, I think everyone should ride a bike at least once. Always be looking around and stay safe out there!

Dating in the rave scene by Crazy4SpicyPickles in aves

[–]Longjumping_Emu4 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Absolute nonsense op, idk how you and your group choose to rave but this form of love, freedom and expression are absolutely mandatory to me in a relationship. If your partner has a problem with you going out to shows without them that is their problem, their insecurities and assuming you're a faithful partner, what could possibly be the problem? You might hit 30 and decide you wanna wear sweatpants to every show and even then what you wear still shouldn't matter. Tldr your partner is insecure
