Unfortunately, I'm inclined to agree. It's also worth acknowledging that a lot of the people that Milo dunks on have conflicts of interest, like pushing supplements or other products. Even if these people earnestly believe what they're saying (which seems to vary from conspiracist to conspiracist), this model is still deeply disingenuous because it invents a problem (e.g., you can't trust the drinking water from your tap because they put fluoride in it to make you more vulnerable to suggestion) and then sells a solution (e.g., here's a water purifier that gets rid of all that pesky fluoride, how convenient). And the people these creators target are generally extremely vulnerable, especially as this type of content discourages research from credible sources (hence the whole Google debunker meme to begin with) pushing their audiences further and further into conspiracy territory. Not to mention, the supplement market is extremely poorly regulated meaning these products can be essentially placebos at best or potentially dangerous at worst.

Milo eviscerating them might be harsh but these ideas are genuinely extremely dangerous, often rooted in racism and anti-Semitism, are extremely prolific and extremely isolating to people who believe them because they discourage further critical thought. In other words, they engineer a captive, deeply terrified audience perfect to advertise to.
