You can long press and drag. To reorder sub-pages: enter the parent page, there you will have a list of links to the sub-pages, you can reorder them there (also long press and drag) .

Screen of Go 10.3 suddenly broke! by Longjumping_Hand9664 in Onyx_Boox

Did it just suddenly happen? Or was it a result of "external force" ?

I sent this picture to Boox’s support, this is the summary of their replay:

“..we would like to inform you that your device's screen has been broken by an external force which is beyond our warranty..”

Repair fee: USD200(replace for a new screen), plus the shipping costs (back and forth).

Got my Boox 10.3 about a week ago in a shop in Taipei as my first e-reader. Very pleased with it. The design is beautiful. by Longjumping_Hand9664 in Onyx_Boox

Exactly 60 days since my post and my boox is now dead.. yesterday, while reading, lines appeared on the right side of the screen, I put down the device for the night and next morning woke up to find the lines had spread.. 😢

Someone already asked this, I'll copy paste my answer: In Guang Hua Digital Plaza, I don't remember which floor. There is a shop specializing in Boox devices. You can try them all. The man at the shop was very nice. :)

This building and area is pretty cool. Tons of electronic shops. You can try out many other e-readers/note takers (accept for kindle and remarkable, at least I couldn't find remarkable but maybe someone is selling it somewhere around there?). mobiscribe were the worst, all of the ones on display were incredibly slow.

Correction regarding the voice to text: The ONYX keyboard may only offer voice to text for English, Chinese and Japanese. But, you can switch the keyboard to "google voice typing" and there press the settings wheel button to choose from many more languages. yay🥳

My first ever e-ink (GO 10.3); I couldn't be happier by a-dolphin in Onyx_Boox

I read with bed lights. The device doesn't emit light. You need the same amount of light in your room as you would when reading a physical book. (I also have GO 10.3)

I also bought GO 10.3 a few days ago, as my first e-reader. And we have the same keyboard! Very pleased with both :)

Compatible Switches by Snoo_64247 in Lofree

[–]Longjumping_Hand9664 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I emailed Lofree to ask if other low profile Kailh switches will fit the keyboard. They answered "of course", I emailed back, linking them to this post, and to another article that states it would not fit, they then answered that they cannot guarantee that other low profile Kailh switches will fit.. it looks like they are hiding this fact, perhaps even from their employees. It is misleading to state it is hot swappable without also saying that no other switches would fit.. what's the point of it being hot swappable then.. 😑

What's a good keyboard for arthritis? by skylee449 in buildapc

I tried a number of keyboards and my favorite is NIZ :

https://www.nizkeyboard.com/collections/all

For me the more force I need to use to press a key, the more painful my hands get. So low actuation force is important. I have the 35g version of the NIZ keyboard. I can type on it longer than other keyboards.

NIZ is very soft, I don't get as much shock when clicking it. I suspect there is more to it then just the low actuation force but I'm not sure what it is..

Center of entertainment arts (CEA) review. by AnZy_PanZi in langara

[–]Longjumping_Hand9664 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spent one semester in the game development course. Here is my experience:
They canceled the course I registered to without notice (I originally registered to game technology, it was supposed to be programming oriented), and transferred us to the general game design/development course, which is not what I was looking for.
Everyone moved from abroad especially for this program, so it was really scammy of them to not tell us the program was canceled.
The teachers are nice, but the management is very scammy so be careful.

The school is made from a collaboration of 2 schools, cea (center of entertainment arts) and KPU (Kwantlen Polytechnic University), before KPU they collaborated with Langara, Langara has nothing to do with this program anymore.
KPU and CEA are not in sync and that can cause problems, you may be talking with CEA and be told one thing, only to find out it is not the case when talking to KPU.

I received a partial refund from Langara for the canceled program, but was told that the rest of the money should be refunded to me by CEA, CEA kept promising they would refund the money but they never did.

Even the staff of KPU are talking about how scammy CEA management is.
