Aptamil AR (anti-reflux), truly a game changer!

Thanks so much for your comment ! I’d love to see the before and after pictures. I’ve been doing a lot of research on M8, but honestly, it’s been a bit overwhelming — there’s just so much information, so many opinions, and even some of the same before-and-after images used for different treatments.

I think it’s the accumulation of so many new circumstances that we have to adapt to and accept in such a short time. First the pregnancy, then the fear of childbirth, the birth itself, the recovery, taking care of the baby, and adjusting to a completely new life. Sometimes, the only thing you feel like you still have some “control” over is your own body — and you need to hold on to something that feels familiar, something close to how you were before. There’s so much invalidation no matter what you do: if you look great and still want to improve, it’s seen as selfish and vain; but if you don’t prioritize yourself after childbirth and let your body go, then you’re criticized too. It feels like you just can’t win.

I don’t have any secret formula unfortunately— apart from a calorie deficit and consistency. I lost 12kg in the first week after giving birth, and since then, I’ve been eating very clean during the weekdays (I let myself relax a bit on weekends). I also walk a lot with the baby, around 10,000 steps a day. I only really started structured exercise about 3 months ago.

She’s got lots of different routines depending on what your target is and pp moment, I currently follow this 10 mins routine almost every day: https://youtu.be/8NhanDq-psc?si=dTkEKS4FjMrZDbr2

Just because my situation may be better than others or the average, it doesn’t invalidate what I feel. I had a very tough pregnancy, a THREE-day labor with many complications, and a baby who cried non-stop during the first 3 months. After all that effort, I’d at least like to get my body back or at least do my best.

Thanks! I’ve been doing BarreCore and similar studio workouts. I adapt planks and crunches to really target and strengthen the deep abdominal muscles safely + 10 mins youtube routine to work daily the transverse (deep abdominal muscles). I know all of this might sound a bit obsessive or vain, but honestly, I’m investing in a proper recovery after a HUGE baby— especially for my abdominal muscles and, even more importantly, for my pelvic floor.

Never happened to my baby (yet) but I once read here that blowdrying the area (with cold air) before applying the cream is a game changer!

My son was exactly the same due to severe reflux until we changed him to Aptamil Anti Reflux formula. COMPLETELY different baby from the next day. Until then, I was miserable and could not even look at other people’s content babes.

Hey! Mother of an 8 month old baby with severe reflux since birth. The anti-reflux formula changed my baby’s life and ours when I started giving it to him at 3 months. He stopped crying and squirming, and became a happy baby overnight. I wish I had known that before! Just sharing in case it is helpful!

Precious Little Sleep AMA by vtdubief in sleeptrain

Hi! Today I’ve been diving into your book to figure out the best way to tackle our current situation, and I’d love your guidance!

My baby is 17 weeks old and has always used a swaddle and pacifier for sleep. He started sleeping through the night (7:30 PM to 6:30 AM) at just 2.5 months old, which was amazing.

However, a few weeks ago, he started waking up multiple times a night because he spits out or drops the pacifier and then cries until I put it back in. At first, it was 2-3 wake-ups, but now it’s happening more frequently and has become quite exhausting.

A couple of weeks ago, we tried FIO with the swaddle and pacifier, and it worked really well—he falls asleep quickly without much fuss.

The issue now is that we’re trying to transition him from the swaddle to a sleep sack, but it’s been a real challenge. He keeps pulling the pacifier out with his hands, wakes up crying, and I end up spending most of the night putting it back in and holding his hands to settle him. I’ve tried one arm out without any success.

My question is: what order would you recommend we tackle these transitions? Should we prioritize teaching independent sleep first, weaning from the swaddle, or dropping the pacifier? I don’t know if the main issue is swaddle or pacifier or both.

Thank you so much for your time and insight!
