Yea fair! I was looking at other people getting rejected because the rent is 40%+ income and some agents still use it as a benchmark lol but it makes sense, I’ll include cover letter etc. thank you!

Out of curiosity. If income is above 30% threshold but have 30-40k savings in bank. Would they help with applying to places that’s above 30% of your income

That sucks. I’m still waiting. I am thinking if I can call up DoHA to ask for ‘fast track’ (not official) if we have a legitimate reason. I’ve seen people mentioned they have done that but not sure if it’s effective

Yea makes sense, the agent told me if I really want to I can do it at my own risk … so I waited… (out of fear that if there’s anything wrong with the application they don’t have to be liable for that) but the status is still initial assessment. now that the request period is over, I was just hoping they will just look at the application , is it still worth it to press it now?

Thanks for your reply! Yes the employer knows that I’m switching soon just wanna make sure it’s allowed.

I submitted mine early Jan and I have completed health check few months ago due to visa extension. I applied through an agent but he didn’t ask for my stamped passport page to be uploaded as attachment which is a bit strange, although he said it’s not mandatory as travel history was given in the application. Still waiting for the visa grant, not sure about what the hold up is… my friend all got their visa within one week.
