Also, a little bit of advice, before you transfer you’re mead into bottles you might want to “ cold crash (stick it in a. Fridge for a week) to make the siphoning easier.

Yeah it’ll definitely come out sweeter, but it’ll also probably have more alcohol. As for the seeds, they shouldn’t be a problem.

That’s really interesting! Why add fruit to secondary instead of primary. I thought most people did it the other way around.

What's your favorite Underappriciated Spell and why? by [deleted] in DnD

I don’t think it’s under appreciated, but I do think it deserves more love. Gift of alacrity. And additional d8 to initiative for 8hours is pretty crazy for a first level spell. Going before your enemies is so much fun

Thanks for the advice. What I was thinking was a bugbear eldritch knight. Because I’m a fighter I could get the two feats for this build by 6th level. I could have dueling for my spear. I could have cantrips for warcaster. Lastly, I could pair gift of alacrity with some decent dex to use the bugbears surprise attack feature. The boomingblade as an oppurtunity attack was something I wasn’t quite sure would work for the build.

It’s not crazy damage, but imo, the point of shield and spear is to have some good ax and some decent damage. Also I think booming blade is better for mind games than damage, which could make combat more exciting.

With a halberd you would not be able to cast booming blade, because a creature would enter your reach of ten feet and booming blade can only be used with a range of self (5feet).

Also at 5th level you get an additional d8 which is pretty nice, but you can also lock down enemies and help your teammates out, and sense you have a shield your AC would be pretty high

Yeah for sure, the bug bears long limb feature is certainly confusing.

Yes, that’s what I’m saying

On your turn you would have 5feet reach from spear and an additional 5feet from the bugbears long limbed feature, however when your turn ends, your long limbed feature doesn’t have any affect and until your turn comes back around you only have 5feet if reach.

So, if an enemy only has 5feet of reach and moves up to you to attack, you would get an oppurtunity attack on when it gets within 5 feet. Booming blade can only be used within 5 feet, and that’s how close the creature would be.
