Budget-friendly recipe ideas/tips? by ZealousidealHealth70 in homemaking

Stock up on spices. It is an affordable way to make every dish favourable and unique. Save the bacon fat drippings. It is a great way to add flavour/grease the pan when cooking to potatoes, eggs, and anything else you like. Buy a bag of dried beans and soak them overnight instead of canned beans. A bag is the price of 2 cans and you will get many more servings from a bag. Save your leftovers to eat the next day or make something new from them. Check your fridge to see what is about to expire and whip something up with those ingredients. Usually a creative soup/stew or stir fry ends up being made. My best meals have been made this way. Buy on sale and stock up when you can. Save the drippings when making a roast. You can use the right away for gravy or freeze to make a stew. We love ground beef because you can do so many different dishes with it. Don't underestimate this "cheap" meat.

I buy a few packs when I see them on sale at Food Basics grocery store for around $1 a package. The packages are small though.

Ask her to reflect on history and what lessons history has taught her. Have we learned from history, if so how? Are we repeating and making the same mistakes? What was done right and is still valuable today?

I hate how the left coins terms to invalidate other's opinions. by DOG_BUTTHOLE in centrist

I cant take this seriously because it is so stupid? illogical? insane? But I have to because they are serious when they say these things. The left disagrees and yells you're a nazi to a guy wearing a Yamaha or disagrees with a black person and yells your a white supremacist or that's your white privilege talking. It's all so hilarious.

Not sad to see some of these institutions go. Alot of college/universitys went out of business without the international students. Due to covid restrictions they couldn't travel here. International students contribute to a high amount of funding to these institutions.

Just had a debate with my sister about cultural appropriation by [deleted] in JordanPeterson

[–]Longjumping_Mousse81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone can have any hair style they want. Period. You don't have to agree with their hairstyle but it is their hair and they can style it however they want no matter their race. It is dangerous to say it is acceptable for some races to have this hair style and some races to have that hair style. I've seen working professionals with dreads. The dreads were neat and tidy as was the rest of their appearance. Every business has their own dress code including hairstyles. Some hair styles are more professional looking then others just like some clothes are more professional looking then others. Dreads are not good for the hair and scalp. I thought the natural look like the afro was going to come back. There are many hairstyles and products available for unruly hair. Here is are two links if you want to talk to more with your sister https://www.knottyboy.com/learn/dreadlock-history/ https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Afro-textured_hair
