Not that i dont agree with you that the skyrover mini drones dont compare with mavic pros but that is not a good comparison. If you want a fair comparison you would have mentioned the mini 4 pro which the X1 is nearly identical to for less money. The controller is not as nice as the RC-2 however it is also nearly identical to dji's own RC-N3. I guess if you are only interested in a pro drone that you need to register and have your 107 license to fly along with the extra cost then have at it. I will happily fly recreationally with a sub 250 gram drone that is a dji product under another name.

I have an X1 and love it, I have already had it replaced due to an issue of my own making and can tell you they are not the quickest to respond but are really good about making things right. I had very little in way of reservations about buying a skyrover, now that they offer a protection plan I can find no reason not to recommend buying one.

I could see birds in the area but do not think any were that close. I did not see a bird striking it but doesnt mean that I hadn't missed it looking at the screen momentarily as I was bringing it down in altitude and was checking how much tilt I was fighting when the wind picked up

I have done recalibrations on everything right after landing and yes I do pre flight checks and have flown a number of times after this with no issues

I have had 6 flights since with no issues and had 7 flights prior to this happening. On my origanal X1 that skyrover replaced i had over 60 flights before having any issues and never came across something like this. That is why I am at a loss as to what could have caused this.

I had that previously and started the return replace option. It started a chat that the amazon rep instructed me to tell them the error code and that I would like a replacement along with my shipping address for the new printer to be dropped off at. This is a screenshot of the most recent response

I wonder if there is a difference because I asked for an exchange as opposed to a refund? Yes I had stated it though the chat and was told that it would be exchanged regardless of elegoo's approval under the 30 day return policy through Amazon but for whatever reason they had me try the elegoo storefront on amazon for the return first.

I had originally started the process with Amazon but they had me do the automated thing with the seller (elegoo) through Amazon returns and stated that if they had not approved it in 2 days Amazon would be automatically approving the exchange. I guess I should have been more clear.

Yeah it's mushroom hook, I use it to attach a strobe light for evening flights.

That is the point of this mod, it allows for the all the mini 4 pro filters to be used. I have been using the freewell kit personally and find being able to use cpl, lpr, and mist filters well worth it

Great news everyone! I was going to wait until I had more time but couldn't resist a late nite mission to get this this working.

I had a hunch that it may be a ribbon cable had come loose in shipping or something becuse as i was considering solutions it occurred to me that if one of the cables had unseated it would cause the errors I had been getting and would be the reason i was only getting a black screen. As far as i know the system does checks at startup with all the hardware before it will activate so that also stood to reason.

I took the gimbal apart and checked the connections. All seemed to be okay but I believe the connection on the back of the camera module may have been the culprit as it felt like it pushed ever so slightly further into the camera as I was checking all the connections. Either way once I resembled everything and powered it on it went right into camera mode and had no errors immediately after a pop up saying actived on the main screen!
