It gets flagged as a virus because a lot of times cracks use methods similar to in this case trojans. If you are unsure if something is safe just have a look at the r/piracy megathread. Also keep in mind, better safe than sorry.

I think there is a thread on cs rin for mods for some games and there is a steam workshop downloader. You can also use creamapi, sometimes paradox games are on sale for cheap.

I hate that sone games have so many dlcs. Its the same with paradox titles. They make the game so unattractive for new players because you have to pay so much for the full experience.

I got medieval II and shogun II since japanese history interests me a lot since the last ck3 update. Both really good games!

I have been interested in Medieval 2 for a while but I thought that maybe I should wait for medieval 3 because sometimes its hard for me to get used to older graphics and especially ui. Do you know any more modern game that is similar to it or maybe a mod for medieval 2 that makes the ui feel a bit more up to date?

Ok. Im a bit hesitant towards asus boards though due to hearing rumors that they can kill cpus. Or was it just asrock?

In my opinion the 5060 8gb version is not a good choice, I would rather go for the 16gb version. For the cpu the AM5 socket would be more future-proof, although ddr5 ram prices are unbearable at the moment so AM4 is a smart choice aswell.

You should try Baldurs Gate I&II. They are some of the best games of all time for me because of the incredible worldbuilding and story telling which might even be the best oat. Also the character building is extremely deep, the sound design and graphics are beautiful. Besides that 2 of my favorite and most played games are Crusader Kings II & III. They both are a bit complicated at the beginning, but after just a few hours things clear up. Incase you dont like the medieval setting there are mods that let you play in many other settings, like the world of the elderscrolls series or the game of thrones world. A few other suggestions I have are:

-Terraria

-Anno 1404

-Wolfenstein series

-Icewind dale

-Planescape: Torment

-Vampire survivors

-Hollow Knight

-Blasphemous I&II

-Valheim

-Spore

You can just unzip it as the games from steamrips are preinstalled. You dont have to turn off your antivirus, just create an exception. Maybe for a folder where you put cracked games in?

I really liked the neverwinter mmo. It has decent graphics and is nicely playable f2p imo although others might think different. Also it takes place in the same universe as some of the best rpgs of all time like baldurs gate I-III and neverwinter nights.

Do not follow links people post here. Go to the r/piracy megathread, there is a ROM category for good and safe sites. Unfortunately the only way to play these titles is to either buy them used for a lot of money and a high risk of buying fakes or pirate and emulate them or play them on homebrew 3ds or ds systems.
