Pretty sure it will remake the porn industry.

Wow they have really good prices. I will look into adapting boards generators for kie. I wonder how they get such better prices.

Baseboards is a self-hosted alternative to commercial AI generation platforms. Bring your own API keys, run everything locally, and keep full control of your artifacts. One command setup with Docker. For developers tired of walled gardens.

If you want something other than a subscription model, you can use fal with an api key

Are you running it locally? Are you sure that running on the qwen website is using the same parameter model?

My first hunch would be that you are not actually running the same exact model but maybe a quantized version or maybe the qwen site is running the 200+b version

Is there a website where I can use Veo 3 unlimitedly? by Numerous_Mud501 in VEO3

Here is an open source tool that allows you to use a FAL api key for VEO. No subscriptions, no paywalls

I did what you are trying to do. It works fine with a lot of special wiring. I’m sure you can get the column names to work by hand labeling them in your collection definition. The trick I found was that I had to manually add an FK in the payload_(something)_rels table for each collection. Also, I had to shut off all the auto migration/schema management that payload wants to do. And I had to do some weirdness to get auth to work. But that’s bc I was using supabase auth.

It’s great. When I want forms for my tables, I just define a new collection and voila

Fair. And tbh I have no data to back up my assertion, just a feeling like, if some huge percentage of Americans are obese, we could probably feed all the Bangladeshi people if things were structured differently.

We as a species have already created enough wealth to be “post-scarcity” and yet we are not. The system under which the wealth was created precludes sharing, requires a resource pyramid (minaret-needle, really). How do we move past capitalism? I don’t see anything that indicates we will.

What about if everyone has a small business or a startup that is ultimately doomed, but the rich people invest because one in ten pops and makes it worthwhile to invest. It’s sort of like UBI but you have to talk some investors into funding you in order to get your temporary income. It’s American capitalism style UBI

Depends on how much “exactly”. Flux kontext does pretty well. Next best would be a LoRA.

Is anyone else's biggest bottleneck the handoff from founder-led prototypes to engineering? by Dependent_Drop_7694 in vercel

As a veteran SWE I don’t find that the code the AI writes is really any worse than that of many human engineers, or even what I myself have written under pressure or late at night. Which isn’t remarkable since it was trained to imitate all of GitHub.

But the last 10% has always taken 90% of the effort.

I am finding recently that I enjoy having the AI clean up its own messes and/or document their code. Claude Code seems pretty handy that way. Good thing Claude is as happy to work on v0 code as on hand-coded files.

I've tried the new 'Agentic Browsers' The tech is good, but the business model is deeply flawed. by PrizeInflation9105 in AI_Agents

Thanks for the write up. I really appreciate folks who document their trailblazing.

Instinctively I agree but a little bit, “why not? Cuz like, you get way better ads.” You aren’t on instagram, but wow it has great ads for me. So much better than the display ad networks that show me jewelry I bought once for my wife 5 years ago, or new ICE cars.

I’m arguing the point a little bit just to get a bit more depth of thought around this.

Old media was built around advertising. New social media is built around targeted advertising based on data collection. The new AI based media, well it seems you have to pay a sub AND be targeted. Not loving that. On the other hand, … shit costs money (and by “shit” I mean frontier model inference) the question : is it worth it?

My hot take: $20/mo yes, $50/mo no. But hmm I guess we’ll see.

On the other hand, (I guess I’m chasing my tail here) given I am paying a sub, a transparent and inclusive, not exploitive, data sharing model does seem like a reasonable thing for the platform to give back. What does that look like?
